Today, more than ever, Believers are under attack. Even secular institutions that echo Judeo-Christian ethics are assaulted daily by the forces of evil. All one has to do is turn on the TV to see the latest assault on decency, and confirm the Prophet Isaiah when he said:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

Isaiah 5:20 (New International Version)

Paul, who had been a persecutor, was now experiencing persecution himself. In this brilliant Passage, he compares our defenses with that of a Soldier. As he lists the various pieces of armor and equipment, he illustrates that we are not powerless in the face of the enemy, but are fully equipped to do battle.
