#Muslim apologists becoming more aggressive proselytizers, targeting #Christians

Brethren, Peace be with you and a'salaam aleikum!

William Kirkpatrick over at the Catholic World Report asks the following question Are We Losing the Apologetics War with Islam? in light of recent lone-wolf terrorist attacks in Canada and the United States, as well as the romance many attach to the depredations of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. One of the Canadian terrorists had this illustration displayed in his Facebook page:

That got me thinking because that very day I stumbled upon this tweet by the Muslim Times on-line publication:

An inspection of The Muslim Times reveals a sober, careful publication not given to extremism but devoted to its point of view. If I were a Muslim, The Muslim Times would be the kind of publication I would support. Still...

It would be easy to dismiss the above two examples as weak, frivolous, even Jack-Chickesque in its tendency for oversimplifying and creating strawmen arguments. If I do that, II wouldn't be saying what's wrong with their argument and this is what's wrong: the Muslim effort does not engage the best Christian reasons for Christ. Instead, the Muslim apologist(s) who designed the above arguments seize hide behind plain language to create "contradictions" in Christology and Christian self-understanding that will make lightly formed, uninformed, and non-catechized Christian stumble and fall. Therefore, the Muslim apologetic efforts targets the shallow Christian as low-hanging fruit for conversion. Sadly, the field is wide open and advantageous to Islamic missionary inroads in our civilization due to our general ignorance about, or repudiation of the historical Christian faith.

Christians have been engaging and refuting these unitarian arguments from non-Christians since apostolic times. Contemporary refutations can be found in the catecheses of St. John Damascene in the East and later in the Middles Ages in St. Thomas Aquinas' Summa Contra Gentiles in the West. The polemic isn't knew. The Muslim critique was answered long ago.

Yet, we are prisoners of our time and age. Most Christians live blissfully unaware about the old responses to Islamic misinformation. Many Christians of all backgrounds feel they must reinvent the wheel. Others will be stumped at the stunning over-simplicity of the Muslim critique.

Brothers and sisters, we must arm ourselves with the Armor of God, standing firm  "with the belt of truth buckled around" our waists, with "the breastplate of righteousness" in place, and with our feet "fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." Furthermore, we must "take up the shield of faith" and "the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Ephesians 6:14-17, NIV); we must be "always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have  with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against our good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander (1 Peter 3:15-16). This is the only way we can face down the Muslim challenge and win his soul to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

“I am a muslim and I invite you to Islam”.

Most Americans who call themselves Christians don’t know what Christians really believe or what muslims really believe, so proselytizing for the muslim is easy.

We should start by teaching what that sign really says: “I am a muslim and I invite you to SUBMIT”.

The reply should be,

“I am a Christian and I greet you in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!”

MUSLIM POPULATION TIMELINE

  1. As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens.
  2. At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs.

  3. From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves along with threats for failure to comply. At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

  4. When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam.

  5. After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues.

  6. At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare.

  7. From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels.

  8. After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in Bangladesh — Muslim 83%, Egypt — Muslim 90%, Gaza — Muslim 98.7%, Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%, Iran — Muslim 98%, Iraq — Muslim 97%, Jordan — Muslim 92%

  9. 100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace. Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in: Afghanistan — Muslim 100%, Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%, Somalia — Muslim 100%, Yemen ---Muslim 100%.

I welcome muslim inquiry into my faith in Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior.

Please, bring your “evangelism” attempts, muslims! I know a considerable amount about your beliefs already.

Let’s talk about JESUS.

No matter. The old-style nuns and priests of my pre-Vatican 2 era would have frightened islamists away back in 1961. So very tough-minded and tough - physically.

>>“I am a Christian and I greet you in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!”

They expect that. But, they have a very well-prepared argument against the Trinity, faith-based salvation, and grace. A Christian needs to be well-versed on these three subjects and on the differences between the Jesus of the bible and the Jesus of the Koran.

Most Christians are not prepared for this. Even in bible study classes, it is hard to get people to really dig into these subjects. They’ll say, “Well, Jesus loves me and that’s all I need to know.”

That’s great for a 6 year old, but really sad for an adult.

Then, they say that “I’m glad that you like studying this stuff, but its just too deep for me.”

The muslim proselytizer is ready for those people. I had one try it on me a couple months ago. I carry a copy of the Bible and Westminster Catechism on my iPad,so we had a nice conversation and he wound up declaring me to be too stubborn.

Why don’t we help our fellow Christians learn the details of their beliefs and firm up their faith before we start offering our necks to the muzzles!

Why, that’s the most sensible idea I’ve seen here all day! :-)

To: Teófilo; All
MOSQUE SITES

While I can only point out the following observation in my area, would be curious if anyone else has found the same in their part of the country. Here in the Capital Region of NYS, several mosques have sprung up. Despite plenty of land available, one was erected directly behind a Knights of Columbus Hall (Catholic). The Islamic Shia mosque was erected between a Russian Orthodox Church and a Catholic High School.

I don't believe in coincidences.
