Pressured by the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), Mary’s Gourmet Diner in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has terminated its offer of a 15% discount for customers who would pray publicly as they ate.

Once the FFRF learned of the restaurant’s discount, its attorney Elizabeth Cavell threatened the diner with a complaint in an August 4 letter. Co-owner Mary Haglund immediately capitulated, emailing Cavell on August 6, "I am notifying you & the FFRF that as of today we are no longer offering the 15% discount for Praying in Public."

Restaurant owner shows no courage and immediately caves in to the anti-God gestapo. Hopefully Christians will take their business elsewhere. I despise cowards and this restaurant owner is a coward.

Isn’t FFRF the same group that burns Korans in their homes? I wouldn’t want that to get out to ISIS or anything...

I really can’t stand the way people give in these days. Who are these people that A. It was necessary to give in to them and B. They were also owed an email response? If you own a business you should be able to give discounts to anyone you want for any reason at all. What next? You can’t give people a discount on their birthday because not everyone celebrates their birthday? What is happening to our society? Why do the bad guys always get their way?

No guts. Simply look these pukes in the face and say, "...nor the free exercise thereof. Look it up sometime."
Then dare them to try and get a court to agree with them.

Cavell's letter threatened that the diner was flouting the federal Civil Rights Act, asserting, "Mary’s Gourmet Diner may not lawfully offer a discount only to customers who pray… Any promotions must be available to all customers regardless of religious preference or practice on a non-discriminatory basis.”

So when my parents go to the movies and get a senior citizens discount then isn't that discriminatory too? They going to threaten to sue over that as well?

so this atheist group targets private business. Guess their objective isn’t only “seperation of church and state”.

Tell me about it, this FFRF is just another terrorist group posing as protectors of the Constitution when they are the furthest thing from it. Right on their website it says “Protecting the Constitutional principle of separation of church and state” Well what the hell does a restaurant have to do with the state? No, they’re a terrorist organization whose only agenda is to wipe out Christianity and introduce fascism. You can bet your ass if this was a restaurant run by Muslims having the call to prayer every day they wouldn’t do sh*t! Right now I’m sending off a letter to them, I advise everyone else to do the same, tell them to take their terror tactics and get the F out the United states.

Most self declared atheists are not Christians. Americans need to analyze the religious and ethnic group that most self identifies with aethism.

So much for tolerance from a group that believes in nothing—not even tolerance. Well, maybe hate is on the docket.

The terrorists claimed peoples civil rights were being violated but the praying was optional not mandatory nor was any religion made exempt from the discount. This is just one more leftists terror organization disguising itself under the banner of the constitution/civil rights with the sole purpose of destroying Christianity while allowing Islam to spread and flourish. I did a Google search and I cannot find one recorded instance of this group ever protesting Islamic demands and mandates, yet on their own website it’s just one protest over Christianity after another.
