Why should I feel shameful in posting David’s story about his conversion?

And to think it came from a non-Catholic site.

It is chock full of arrow at Protestants. That is why you should be ashamed.

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.
To: Religion Moderator
I have no idea what you mean.

Making the thread "about" another Freeper rather than the subject or issues involved is a form of "making it personal." In this case, telling the poster she should be ashamed rather than saying that the article is shameful is "making it personal."
On the Religion Forum, because the subject matter is particularly sensitive and flame wars ignite easily, ad hominems are not tolerable and thus the main RF guideline is to "discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal."
To: Religion Moderator
I’m am making an issue of another Freeper aiming arrows at Protestants.

Make the issue that arrows are being aimed at Protestants.
To: Religion Moderator
What? With You? Are you taking a position?

I do not take positions.
Again, you can complain that arrows are being aimed at Protestants without questioning the poster's motive or behavior. Focusing your argument on the poster is "making it personal."
To: Religion Moderator
Again, I have no idea what you mean by accusing me of making it “personal”.

It was posted May 13, 2011 to the website being linked, so the guy has reverted for over three years now, at least. It was placed here to irritate those who will not “pope”. We should be wise to these tactics by now and realize that “they” will never learn until and unless they receive the light of the glorious gospel of truth into their hearts. Until then, consoling each other over Christians who get caught up in the nonessential ceremonies and rituals, rather than the truth, and who leave one church for “theirs” will be the brave face put up to stave off the sinking sense of having no clothes on the emperor.

The question I have is, why all the in-fighting among those of us who are CHRISTIAN, be it Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox?
At a time when Christians are being driven out of the Middle East, we who have faith in the Lord should try to discover what we really, really have int common.

You know why. We WILL leave the Church or all the Non-Catholics on here will hound us until we do. But like Erasmus said: "I will put up with this Church until I see a better one; and it will have to put up with me, until I become better.**"
BOOM! ;)
