The thuggish pastor of a small Southern California church and two of his parishioners tortured a 13-year-old boy who lived at a church-run group home, savagely beating him, grinding salt into his raw wounds and forcing him to dig his own grave.

The pastor, Lonny Remmers, 56, and his two goons even tortured the teen during a group Bible study session, forcing him to sit in front of the others while they twisted his nipples with pliers, court documents show, according to the Los Angeles Times.

I knew this stuff would happen once the DNC started taking over all of the churches.

from his linkedin page:

Pastor Lonny Remmers’ Summary

Fire Escape Ministries/Re-Entry Foundation moves into today’s social arena with a continued plan of delivering its Christian Aftercare Program based on Discipleship training founded on Scripture. Through our experience we have identified many of our Clients needs. We feel it is necessary to help meet these needs on several levels; these levels consist of Spiritual, Physical and Relational needs. This will be done with the foundation of Biblical principles through the Word of God.

We will utilize the proven materials of Aftercare Programs. These and other similar programs will be implemented for those in need of special guidance according to the same biblical principles.

We will act as a conduit between many different Prisons or Community-based programs and the Churches, helping those coming out of these programs be able to maintain some sort of structure in their reintegration into society and limit their return to their old lifestyles.

The program will consist of 12 months of strict Bible-based programming, as well as relational help and personal empowerment through 12 step programs, anger management, stress management, parenting, financial management training, and other practical counseling methods needed to help assist them to productively transition back into society.

The Ministry will use available resources to meet physical needs as well. These needs will consist of food, shelter, clothing, vocational training, job placement assistance, transportation and eventually legal and medical needs. With these added opportunities to help the Clients reintegrate into society we hope to take the recidivism rate of 85+% to a much lower rate of less than 20%.

Remmers, who runs the Hart of Worship Community Church in Corona, was expected to be sentenced to two years in prison.

TWO YEARS?!?

TWO YEARS?!? For doing, to a 13 year old boy:

Two years... ...PLUS AN ETERNITY IN HELL!

When shopping for a Bible Study class for your young errant teen, I highly recommend avoiding the "Church of Zed"....

This makes me wonder if Pastor Lonny Lee Remmers is a faggot. What kind of stories do the other kids tell?

His orders to scare the boy provided all three men the chance to fullfill every hurtful thing they could dream up. They all felt righteous and just in their cruelty, because it was suposedly for showing the teen how to live properly, ready to accept responsibility for all his actions. Two years is an insult to civilized behavior. Story doesn’t say who turned them in and why. I’m guessing it was the hospital. Moms too stupid or disconnected.

I don’t trust anybody who thinks they’re closer to GOD than I am.

‘I don’t trust anybody who thinks they’re closer to GOD than I am.’

I don’t trust anyone who is a member of the flock at a church and then does paid contracting work on it. You know they are there for the business.

I don’t trust anyone who during church services shouts Amen!, Tell it preacher! and then meets with the Sunday School teacher, who was married as was she, after church for some in depth injection of the.... He was a deacon.

I also don’t trust preachers who explain that God wants his people to prosper financially, give till it hurts he said and you can demand your monetary reward from God with interest whenever you wish.

I tend to be constantly looking for a new church for some reason.

Sounds like a general-purpose scumbag. See this from the OC Register:

Corona pastor, a former O.C. resident, indicted on investment fraud

Corona pastor Lonny Remmers, already facing a July trial in Riverside on kidnap and assault charges, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in a case in which he and four others are accused of defrauding investors out of millions of dollars.

Remmers, 56, was arrested June 5 and appeared in federal court in Riverside that day. He was ordered to report to federal court in Toledo, Ohio, on July 1.

Remmers, head of the Heart of Worship Community Church, was released after a judge denied the federal government’s request to keep him locked up. Court records show the government considers Remmers a flight risk. Church member Eric McNamara posted the $200,000 bail, court records show.

My first boss after college graduation was named Lonny. He was a real piece of work as well. The other people in the outfit were pretty decent or I wouldn't have stayed even the 16 months which I did.

To this day, I find myself doing things that irritated "Lonny."

People name their kid “Lonnie” because they already used Ronnie, Bonnie, Connie, Donny and Jonny.

If only they let these men marry — then this wouldn’t happen ———oh, wrong church, sorry.
