One of the opening speakers at the 42nd PCA General Assembly told those in attendance that America is rapidly progressing to the point where declaring Jesus the only way to eternal life will be considered spreading hate.
“It will be difficult to say in this culture ‘Jesus is the only way’,” Pastor Bryan Chapell warned. “That will be interpreted as hate speech.”
Chapell said that sticking to truth will be a point of contention with the world.
“If you continue to stand ‘for Christ alone’ in a culture that calls that bigotry,” he said, “that will be the issue that presses us in the future.”
Chapell, the former chancellor of the Covenant Theological Seminary, said that pluralism is becoming a major enemy of God’s church and that people of faith need to join together on issues so they can fight that enemy together.
Ron Taylor, the stated clerk of the PCA GA, agreed with Chapell’s assessment. He said we cannot forget the true enemies of the church are the world, the flesh and the devil.

The federal government has no legitimate constitutional authority to interfere with any person's right to discriminate (freedom to choose).
Well the feds have been allowed to interfere and should be turned back and shown the door. If not, then what this pastor says is absolutely true. Shutting down free exercise of religion, especially the Gospel of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, is what is really behind all this unconstitutional government coercion

Our minister stated no long ago during a sermon that he expects for Christians to be imprisoned in the United States if not in his lifetime, soon thereafter. I truly fear for my children and grandchildren.
The pastor is right. The Lord told us we’d be persecuted if we follow Him. But to suffer such things for His sake is a blessing.

You’re so right. Sometimes when everything seems to be falling apart it’s hard not to worry or be afraid and remember to turn everything over to God.
It’s “in the book”, in almost all versions, in almost all manners of speech.
It is the tenet of those who derive what they do in meetings, from the Book of Acts.
For those that do NOT follow the Abrahamic faiths, it won’t matter to them, unless there are folks that “as the book says”, makes them envious of what those other folks have inside them”.
He’s absolutely right. But he left out the lawsuits, throwing people out of their livelihood, and jail time.
