As the biannual general meeting of the Presbyterian Church (USA) begins this week in Detroit, Jewish human rights group The Simon Wiesenthal Center said they have severed all relations with the controversial church.

The group also called on PC (USA) members to vote down the anti-Israel agenda that has been praised by David Duke, a former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, and Press TV, a semi-official Iranian government news channel.

Anti-Christian, anti-semitic leftists continue to consolidate control over the Presbyterian Church (USA).

I don’t have much use for either group at this point.

This church’s descent into Hell appeared to coincide with the installation of a couple of islamoNazi undercover agents into positions within the church hierarchy several years ago. It further appears that all the “good Christian” members have failed in all this time to solve the problem and expel Satan from their midst. (More power and certainly plaudits to those who’ve been trying). My conclusion: if a church can’t clean house of such obviously damning influence inside its own tent, that denomination may be a list cause Genuinely good Christians should join other churches instead. Let Lucifer’s victory be hollow, let him have an empty “ loot bag.”

The PCUSA is not “controversial”; it is heretical, on its way, sadly, to anathema.

I was an elder in a PCUSA church at one point.

We actually had a church leaders meeting to determine the churches stance on abortion, gay marriage, and homosexuals in leadership positions.

An active duty Air Force officer who was also serving indicated he couldn’t vote for either because it conflicted with his military duty. Another was concerned it would conflict with her YMCA position.

I tried pushing them back but ended up leaving when they chose to cushion wooden pews instead of buying bibles for children.

The “ leadership” of any organization , most especially churches and synagogues where we expect otherwise, can be very disappointing. In the case of this church, some have taken power to advance a patently anti-Christian false gospel. It’s no wonder so many parishioners have been leaving it. There are, after all, still churches which endeavor sincerely to maintain a true Biblical faith message (denominational distinctives aside). If this satanic “in crowd” problem was brand new, I’d suggest good church members stay and fight. But since this church has had this problem for a number of years already and hasn’t succeeded in expelling Lucifer’s agents yet. I have to say that I would leave And join a church that is at least recognizably Christian in its core message and practices.

Our entire congregation voted to leave PCUSA and we now have our own unaffiliated church.

WOW! That’s just GREAT (under the circumstances).
GOOD FOR You!

Ideally, church membership should be able to prevent anti=Christian elements from taking over...... but when they do and it proves impossible to remove them.....
then....
getting out is what I’d do, for sure.

we have to recognize that any human-run institution can go bad (certainly Calvin, or all people, would’ve agreed with that!)....

People leave churches for (often fairly minor) doctrinal differences of opinion ... all the time. Far better, though, to leave whre the basic, core Christian character of those in charge has been subverted and, as here, sincere efforts to correct things have proven unsuccessful.

May God Bless you and your new congregation. I’m confident He appreciates the sincerity of your faith.

Replacement theology yields its fruit.

I can assure you that the Simon Wiesenthal Center has no interest in theology whatsoever. It's just another leftist organization fighting ethnic bigotry and is against any and all religious beliefs that it sees as promoting it. Its only interest in Israel is a secular political one, as a bastion of "democracy" and "gay rights" in the Middle East.

That doesn't mean the PCUSA attitude is a good thing, of course. But the Wiesenthal Center no more believes that the restoration of the Jews to their ancient G-d-given homeland has any more theological/prophetic meaning or significance than the PCUSA does.

The Wiesenthal Center has built or is building a "Museum of Tolerance" in Jerusalem. Neither Joshua nor David ever did such a thing.

Thank you. It was a difficult thing to do and some members left our congregation because of it, but it was the right thing to do.

It was definitely the right thing to do, after all these years of false or anti-Christian “gospels” bring preached in your former church. You can remain I
Independent it check out some sort of affiliation with any of the several other denominations out there, your call. (I’ve been known to quietly leave when directly false/ anti-Biblical preaching was coming down. I stayed long enough to ascertain if it was just a mistake but, alas, it was purposeful and continuing. Better to stay home than sit through, and support with our membership, deliberate false teachings on things that are quite clearly set forth in Scripture. There are many doctrines upon which reasonable people can differ, I can
Accept and can deal with that. I can’t just sit there when we are bring told to believe or support patently false things ( that directly deny or contradict God’s word ). I am pleased to visit many kinds of congregations whose doctrines I may disagree with so long as it appears they’re trying to follow the Judeo-Christian message ,I won’t step one foot anymore into your former denomination’s churches. In my humble opinion, they’ve chosen to damn themselves.

...............
I’m not sure I’ve heard of Replacement theology but the basic drift of liberal christianity since the late 1600’s has been toward the low view of Christ traditionally known as the Arian Heresy. (From which we get the Nicean creed.)

Probably you are aware of the Presbyterian Church in America, but just in case you're not, it has been a haven for people leaving the PCUSA.

"The PCA is one of the faster growing denominations in the United States, with over 1450 churches and missions throughout the USA and Canada. There were over 306,000 communicant and non-communicant members as of December 2000."

“Reformed” defines the doctrinal beliefs of the PCA, which holds that the purest expressions of scriptural doctrine are found in the Calvinistic creeds, particularly the Westminster Confession of Faith."
