this would be the response of someone who SAW the following images FIRST!!
Well of COURSE!
Read their CREED!
#10 pretty much sums it up.
The Articles of Faith outline 13 basic points of belief of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Prophet Joseph Smith first wrote them in a letter to John Wentworth, a newspaper editor,
in response to Mr. Wentworth's request to know what members of the Church believed.
They were subsequently published in Church periodicals.
They are now regarded as scripture and included in the Pearl of Great Price.

Which level??
HEAVEN-The Mormon church teaches there are three levels of heaven (three "degrees of glory"):
HELL: A place of torment from which the worst of sinners are resurrected (if they repent) into the Telestial kingdom; only a limited number remain in hell forever, - the devil and the demons and apostates who consciously reject and work against Mormonism.
Amazingly; about 85% of ALL Mormons will end up here!
Kinda messes with that Forever Family® they advertise a lot about.
Romans 14:5
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Indeed.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
—Colossians 2:8-17
As I said, I merely want people to stop and consider why they celebrate days such as Easter in light of the Bible. Instead of searching the Scriptures to see if a particular tradition is pleasing to God, most get defensive and that is too bad.
James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
So true. It’s no different today than it was in Christ’s day. He was jeered by the Pharisees because He ignored their traditions.
Consider Mark 7:5-9
5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
My comment regarding Easter was simply that it is a tradition of men. And since it was not instituted by the Lord, it should never be seen as obligatory for God’s people or in some way set apart or holy. I’m quite certain that Colossians 2:16 dashes that notion. The LDS are an unbiblical cult. By definition all of their worship is idolatry already, regardless of the day. Whatever their Easter machinations, they are merely “co-opting” a tradition of men.
We could also consider Paul’s words in Galatians 4:8-11
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Is it wrong to celebrate weak and beggardly elements such as Easter and ChristMass? In the interest of Christian liberty I leave each Christian to search the Scriptures and wrestle over an answer for themselves.
Folks can pretend I’m crazy for raising the issue, but I suspect most have never considered the matter and they are unaware Easter is of pagan origins and a product of popery. My position is that of the Westminster divines and the English Puritans who devised the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689. Since I hold to the 1689 Confession, I’ll quote it: “The acceptable way of worshiping the true God, is instituted by himself, and so limited by his own revealed will, that he may not be worshiped according to the imagination and devices of men, nor the suggestions of Satan, under any visible representations, or any other way not prescribed in the Holy Scriptures”
I may be out-of-step with the majority of our day, but I’m comfortable knowing I’m planted firmly in the center of Protestant history. Perhaps Knox, Calvin, the famous Puritans and Baptists, Jonathan Edwards, and Spurgeon were all wrong not to celebrate Easter. None of those people were infallible. But at least I know their position was rooted in an attempt to be faithful to the Scriptures. Not to mention, even those who hold to a normative principle of worship (as opposed to regulative) must admit Easter is a tradition of men.
I’m confused.
Him whom?
All through mormonISM writings the him is Joseph Smith.
So why this push to say the him is Jesus.
And which one the Biblical Jesus or the mormonISM jesus.
Good points!
Shirley Knot!!
They succeeded in killing Joseph, but he had finished his work.He was a servant of God, and gave us the Book of Mormon. He said the Bible was right in the main, but, through the translators and others, many precious portions were suppressed, and several other portions were wrongly translated; and now his testimony is in force, for he has sealed it with his blood. As I have frequently told them, no man in this dispensation will enter the courts of heaven, without the approbation of the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jun.Who has made this so?Have I?Have this people?Have the world? No; but the Lord Jehovah has decreed it.If I ever pass into the heavenly courts, it will be by the consent of the Prophet Joseph. If you ever pass through the gates into the Holy City, you will do so upon his certificate that you are worthy to pass. Can you pass without his inspection? No; neither can any person in this dispensation, which is the dispensation of the fulness of times. In this generation, and in all the generations that are to come, everyone will have to undergo the scrutiny of this Prophet. They say that they killed Joseph, and they will yet come with their hats under their arms and bend to him; but what good will it do them, unless they repent? They can come in a certain way and find favor, but will they?
