I think what was meant here, is that Satan knows the Catholic faith, not that Satan holds the Catholic Faith. Satan knows Scripture better than anybody on earth, as he still has a perverse, twisted, but brilliant angelic intelligence. Demons --- as St.John said --- know there is One God, and tremble.

Exactly! Thank you. That’s what I meant.

I know a priest who was giving a retreat at a convent/coven. After his first talk, in which he had referred to God as “he,” he was taken aside and told that “we use inclusive language here.” So, in his next talk, when talking about the devil, he said, “...when the devil wishes to deceive us, she...” and so on. After that talk, he was told that “we won’t be continuing with this retreat.”

Granted, Cuomo knows the Catholic vote is not the monolithic vote it used to be. Nevertheless, there are still 7.3 million Catholics in New York – 38 percent of the state’s population. And in New York’s depressed rust belt cities, working class Catholics, who have not fled to states that offer job opportunities, tend to be older ones who subscribe to traditional Judeo-Christian principles, live them in their daily lives, and expect the same of public officials. Their beliefs mean more than material gain and transcend economic issues.

These angry practicing Catholics can, however, strike back this November at the ballot box. By coming out in full force and casting their votes for Cuomo’s pro-life opponent, Rob Astorino, they can send a strong message, upset Cuomo’s plan to run up a huge margin of victory, and dash his hopes to be the second (sort of) Catholic president.

"Will Cuomo receive Communion with his shack-up?"

Gonna be interesting to see how Scharfenberger handles that one.

Albany Bishop Howard Hubbard says it is "unfair and imprudent" to conclude that Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his girlfriend, Sandra Lee, shouldn't receive Communion simply because they're living together.
-- from the thread Bishop: None of your business (Hubbard rejects Catholic expert's criticism of Gov. Cuomo)

She?

Why not? Satan is a fallen angel, pure spirit. Gibson portrayed Satan as androgynous.

His religion is the same that his dad, biden, kennedy and pelosi share -secular humanism....

And they continue the double life because the church they belong to is afraid to lose the wealth and power that these members of their flock wield.. they can see what these types do to their ‘enemies’...

The ‘discipline’ these secular humanists ‘receive’ by the roman catholic church is a lesson in the religious caste system..

GOP Senate leader Dean Skelos, who had promised NY Cardinal Timothy Dolan that he would never permit the same-sex marriage bill to make it to the floor of the upper legislative chamber.
.
For a few political crumbs from Cuomo’s table, Skelos broke his word and permitted a roll call, knowing it would pass.

.

"BRAVO!"

So, you CAN be a Catholic and be as evil as possible, then?

Well, yeah. We've saved. We can do anything and still get to heaven.

By faith alone, baby.

Why not?

I asked because Arthur specified “she” and I wondered why, since angels are spirit.

Also, “she” specifies female whereas the pronoun traditionally used for gender non-specific purposes would be “he”.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why Andrew Cuomo thinks nothing of poking Dolan in the eye every chance he gets.

One word.......PRIDE!

And yet too many of them - not all, fewer than before - continue to vote Democrat because they always did, and their pappy always did and their pappy’s pappy always did. Like it or not, those are the folks who think Republicans are the rich man’s party, the WASPs who kept Catholics out of prestigious jobs/ schools/ neighborhoods/ clubs not so very long ago. They’ll vote for Andy again.

If Cuomo’s new bishop doesn’t ban him from the sacraments, then all he will be good for is to be paving material in Hell.

Gonna be interesting to see how Scharfenberger handles that one.

I don't expect any "showdown" tomorrow at the ordination and installation. That would be imprudent. Quite possibly, we may never know since the bishop is responsible to charitably address these issues in private. Those discussions are not made public.

Traditionally?

I thought that alone would be sufficient reason for some non-Catholic folks to avoid the use of "he".

Dolan, the disappointing one. This guy has had his butt kicked from one end of New York State to the other. He invited the abortionist Obama to the Al Smith dinner. Andrew Cuomo wipes the streets of New York with him. Yet, Dolan does NOTHING.

I suspect that the Diocese of Albany falls under the umbrella of the Archdiocese of New York. So, what is keeping Dolan from barring Cuomo from Holy Communion at a minimum. Plus, Cuomo likely does not truly reside in the Governor’s Mansion. Very few NY governors have truly resided in Albany. Most had a home in NYC or it suburbs.

Dolan, get off of your butt and do the right thing. As for the new Bishop of Albany, I wish him well and hope he has the guts to enforce Church law.

Sure they are made public. Senator Dick Durbin’s Bishop recently told him publicly not to receive Holy Communion due to his high active work in support of abortion.

Cuomo is one of the ugliest human beings on earth.

I heard that at his ‘home’ parish in Mount Kisco, his priest has denied him communion.
