This ex-president has not had it easy after serving in office. He is desperate to re-write history, to salvage something from his disastrous four year record, mercifully terminated by Ronald Reagan. The current occupant is quite capable of snatching the "Worst President Ever" award from Carter on his own.

I’m not surprised that Jimmy hates Catholics. He was born in 1924, just before the peak of the vehemently anti-Catholic second Ku Klux Klan, so by the time he was 6-8 years old, he had probably heard lots of anti-Catholic rants, along with the typical anti-Jewish rants.
And it’s not surprising that this didn’t include open dislike of blacks, in that middle class whites were careful to not insult their part time domestic servants, like cleaning women, laundry women, and other help, instead holding them in gentle contempt as inferiors who lived on “the other side of the railroad tracks.”
He belongs to a Southern Baptist schismatic church, a recent religious schism, that broke away from the Southern Baptist Conference, because it wasn’t leftist enough. It is called the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and he is parroting their platform against the SBC.

Perhaps someone close to him--someone who has no ax to grind--should quietly explain to the ex-President, that this behavior is completely inappropriate.
If I remember correctly, it was only after Jimmuh became president that his church allowed Black People. I think he belonged to a country club that was similar.

Some people need to fade into the background. Jimmy Carter is exhibit #1. I guess he serves one good purpose: to show people that wisdom doesn’t automatically come with age. Jimmy has gone from being a fool to being an old fool.

Carter’s enduring need to present some kinder version of Truth to unbelievers is not indicative of Wisdom.
