Observers say that by granting citizenship to all descendants of expelled Muslims, Spain, virtually overnight, would end up with the largest Muslim population in the European Union.

Muslim groups are demanding Spanish citizenship for potentially millions of descendants of Muslims who were expelled from Spain during the Middle Ages.
The growing clamor for "historical justice" comes after the recent approval of a law that would grant Spanish citizenship to descendants of Sephardic Jews expelled from Spain in 1492.
Muslim supporters say they are entitled to the same rights and privileges as Jews because both groups were expelled from Spain under similar historical circumstances.
But historians point out that the Jewish presence in Spain predates the arrival of Christianity in the country and that their expulsion was a matter of bigotry. By contrast, the Muslims in Spain were colonial occupiers who called the territory Al-Andalus and imposed Arabic as the official language. Historians say their expulsion was a matter of decolonization.

I hope you’re being sarcastic. If they have every right to return to Spain (given they, the Moors of North Africa, invaded it originally, were not invited and behaved as every conqueror does over time) and were subsequently overtime kicked out because of their attempts to subvert, convert, dominate and destroy the previous culture (Christian Western Civilization, the eternal enemy of islam, along with Judaism) they would do so again if invited back given it is the command of Mohammed. They will naturally attempt to impose Sharia Law, as they are attempting to do elsewhere in Europe, Great Britain, and before long, the U.S. and everywhere else that, due to either gross ignorance or incredible stupidity, invites them as immigrants. The West continues to commit suicide in dealing peacefully with Muslims. Madness. Remember the word islam, means to submit, not coexist, not be recognized as equal, but to submit, to their system of a so-called religion, which in actuality, is a complete social system; political, economic, legal and religious process. No separation of church and state, and second class citizenship, or worse, for non-muslims. There is no place in an advancing, modern world for such a system, unless the world wishes to return to the 7th century. The West has plenty of problems facing it’s demise, it doesn’t need to accelerate its decline via viewing islam as some kind of legitimate alternative. If historical truths were provided in schools in this day and age, it would be seen for what it truly is, which is why Spain, and the rest of Europe fought so hard to keep islam out of its territory (Charlemagne, the Battle of Lepanto, Gates of Vienna, etc.) Forewarned is forearmed.

All types of people should demand the right to return to arab lands and for the right of ownership of lands that were stolen from them. Two can play at this game.

And how, pray tell will they determine who these “decendants” are after some 600 years-DNA testing, a master list of every muslim family compiled when they were tossed out in the Middle Ages?
My ancestors left Spain with thousands of others in the 15-1600’s due to an oppressive government, and we have the records to prove it-can we all have Spanish citizenship, too? How about reparations for the property they lost? This whole thing is just ridiculous...

As for “Right of Return” long term title to land usually is acquired by the historically validated method - conquest.
Also, after a number of years, said land title transfer is not subject to review in court. Hmmn - 2014 - 1492 = 502 years. At 13 years per Muslim generation, more than 40 generations of Muslims have passed.
As lawyers put it, The statute of Limitations bars such a suit.
