Good Piece. On the money.
Thank you for writing it.
I am Catholic just started really reading the Bible. a month or so ago i began looking up discernment. Since then my relationship and understanding of the holy.spirit has grown and continues to do so.
Yes i adamantly believe God is at his limit. His patience astounds me.
“soldier of.Christ” keeps echoing.in my head
Evangelicals, according the some of the polls after Duck Dynasty, only 50% voted and you have to guess many of those voted for people that vote sodomy and baby murder so they can get more food stamps. Please take a stab at rewriting this as to make sense. Thanks.
Have you heard about the book Any thoughts about “The Harbinger”? What do you think?
Good article. Thanks for posting.
There are so many verses I have been reading that I just left out of the piece I wrote. Just go to Isaiah 1 and start to read there. God is pleading with Israel to change. He said "The ox knows it's owner and the donkey it's Master's crib. Even animals know who owns them and feeds them. Verse 5 says "Why would you be stricken again?" God doesn't want to teach the lesson again, but he will if he must. If you see no connection to God's protection and 9-11 and the economic downturn, how will we see the next catastrophe coming? God requires His children to discern and obey. If we don't read our Bibles and skip over the tough parts, you will miss the message that was paid for with Jewish blood and misery only to suffer it ourselves.
There is always hope. God will rescind His judgement if we repent. Jonah is a good story for that. God makes sure He is patient and fair in His punishment. Many people can't connect 9-11 to some past sin because it may take 5-10-even 50 years to take place. I just picked Clinton's infidelity and perjury as an example of the NATION sinning. People don't seem to think much about a whole country committing sin, ergo my reference to 26 states approving gay marriage. The sin goes beyond the sinner and defiles the land. We have had sodomy since Sodom and Gomorrah, but no one approves of such behavior until recently. As a nation, the choices we make collectively may doom even the saved to suffer.
When a Christian explores who they are in Christ, they should find that the Holy Spirit lives in them and He is God just as much as Jesus and Jehovah. That means we have power. We are God's soldiers involved in an eternal war against evil. As we all hunker down in our foxholes with our helmets pulled down over our eyes and our sword in it's sheath, we wonder why we are losing. Recognizing evil and casting it out is among our weapons and we just allow evil to run over into our country, into our churches, and finally into our family. Knowing the Bible and prayer are VERY powerful in battle. As we read Scripture, we see the devil use Scripture verses against Jesus and He defeated evil with the proper Scripture. Eve was defeated by listening to Satan twist what God had said.
It is time to call Christians to read their Bibles and pray to be able to defeat evil and save our country and families. God is a good God and gives good gifts to His children. We have not because we ask not. It is that simple.
We forget that within the living memory of people alive today, if you got an STD you were doomed to a horrible painful death.
In my Bible (it's at home, so I can't quote it exactly,) right before that verse there's a little header saying something like, "Israel shows arrogance and defiance." You don't even have to be a theologian to see that that verse was not appropriate for those politicians to use! I think you're right, the speechwriters probably just googled for a verse.
Also, if all humans followed the Biblical prescriptions for sex, all STDs would disappear from the Earth in one generation.
There will be no revival during this time of the dispensation of the grace of God. There will be apostacy. People with itching ears. Romans through Philemon would give you all the information you need to understand this time we are in.
Just last night, Hanity was discussing unemployment insurance renewal and a woman started to quote the Bible completely out of context. She was basically saying Jesus was a communist and used the rich young ruler story to build her case. Hanity didn't challenger her that Jesus is talking to His church, not government and he could have asked her if she has sold everything to follow Jesus and if so, why are you for gay marriage and abortion knowing what Jesus says about that. I believe Hanity even went to Seminary, but dropped the ball. When you hear a Democrat quote Scripture, you have to listen with a grain of salt because they are so wrong on so many important Godly principles, they would have to repent on so many things to understand the real Truth. A good rule of thumb today is just ask if they are pro abortion or pro gay marriage. If they miss either one of those principles, how can you believe they have anything Godly to share with a Christian?
Also, I believe we have spent more money treating AIDS than cancer. That doesn’t even count all the other diseases caused by sodomy, like Hepatitis.
Thank you for posting this.
I agree with everything you say, except the part about a “nation” of believers. As believers, we are the body of Christ and make up His Bride. As individuals, everything you say is on the money. The God principle in discussion here is we, as believers, will suffer with the unjust if we allow our land to be defiled. If Iran is used to punish us, as Pharaoh was used to punish Israel, then believers will be destroyed in the mushroom just as the lost. The land we live in is being defiled as we speak. God’s promise is to “vomit” out,....now get this,.....His people, if they allow named abominations to occur. I will go to Heaven along with all saved souls, but our land is still lost. It won’t make a difference to me if I’m with Jesus, but don’t you have any burden for other souls? God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I completely agree with Romans through Philemon, but the principle of losing your land hasn’t changed. The Bible is talking to believers all over the world not just Americans. My point is America is inviting His wrath. South Korea could keep functioning just fine if America became and afterthought. Dead Christians go to heaven no matter where they came from and how they die.
Thank you for point this out.
Ephesians 6:12
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
In verse 12 - “......For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still”- what is the meaning or interpretation of “...His hand is stretched out still”? I have understood it to mean God is holding his hand out in anger.
