The muslims are taking over in the UK and France. The vacuum created by the decline in Christianity is being filled by islam. Same thing will happen here. The atheists will never stand up to the muslims.

People without faith are people without souls...their afterlife will be dark and empty.

And hot.

The Presbyterians of the PCUSA brand. I like to call them “Lesbyterians”.

No well defined moral structure and they take offerings...
I wonder how that’s going to turn out...

I tend to make a distinction between agnostics and atheists. If you find it disappointing that atheists are viewed as god-haters, maybe it’s because too many of them are. I understand, however, that many atheists simply don’t know or believe there is a God, and leave it as that. I refer to them as agnostics, and can respect their doubts. However, I can’t respect it when atheists want everyone else to give up their own cherished beliefs just so they don’t have to think about it.

Not any more. I got a belly full of Methodist leadership as an elder.

The only individual I ever met who defended Communism was a Methodist minister. He said Communism was merely "an agreement among a group of people to cooperate."

Shortly after our conversation he was shipped off to New York to work for the National Council of Churches.

Michael Savage(a Jew) has said he thinks God is using the rise of Islam in Europe as a consequence of their embrace of secularism and rejection of Christianity and the Judeo-Christian culture and traditions.

That these types of atheists pick Sunday and call their gatherings “church” says quite a bit about their views towards historical Christianity. They even conduct their service in the same way with singing, a sermon and taking up a collection. Even though it is claimed they don’t discuss anti-Christian topics it doesn’t mean that they aren’t striking out against God and everything that deals with him just the same. I also suspect that encouragements towards atheism and assurances that they are right and religions are all wrong is part and parcel of what they do in these meetin’ houses. I feel sorry for the children that get brought up this way and who have heard anti-faith discussions all their lives.

This confirms that Atheism is actually a religion based upon “there is no God”. And all this time these same people have denied there was such a thing as “religion”? Hmmmmm.

Perhaps the Atheists consider themselves to be demigods and they think the Almighty is trying to poach on their turf? Well, if the Atheists want to pick a fight with God, guess who will win? Hint: I hope you Atheists like it hot where you're going to wind up. You're in deep, deep do-do.

I find it ironic that the people are showing an innate longing for some type of meaning in the world when they hold a worldview which by definition excludes the possibility of any type of objective meaning in the world.

Even Atheists sense the need to assembly (church) together. They want to sing, laugh, fellowship and meet needs without realizing that the Creator of all placed that very thing within us.

This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
11No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.

Specifically about the people of Israel, but I believe He put knowledge of Him in ALL our hearts and minds - the atheists are fighting an up-hill battle to deny what they know to be true.

And I believe God gave us Obama as His judgment on America.

Exactly.

If they were true “atheists” they would merely live out their lives perhaps seeking fellowship at work or at various social clubs that are dedicated to their interest (Biking, golf, dancing, whatever) and let us deluded folks do whatever we want on Sunday Morning.

Their “Services” are designed to mock Evangelicals, just as the “Black Mass” mocks the Catholic Service.

If I were going to design counterfeit $100 bills, I wouldn’t put Groucho Marx on them.

I believe that too. It reminds of when Ancient Israel said they wanted a king and God gave them Saul. Remember how that turned out?

I can’t argue with you on that! The so-called leadership makes me sick. They follow the world and hide it behind terms like “reconciling” and phrases like “God reveals himself anew with each generation”. The typical rank-and-file Methodist doesn’t even know what’s going on, so when I read these posts about “the Methodists”, I think of those people (whom I represent at AC) and not the privileged elders and bishops. I also think of those wonderful Methodists in Africa who are trying to keep us holy, even as the American jurisdictions try to march us off to hell.

When one conjoins authority and stupidity the bastard offspring is arrogance. This quintessentially describes the authority of the United Methodist church. The arogance of ignorance is on full display in the Council of Bishops of the UMC.

I am fortunate to have a pastor who is one of the dwindling number of holiness/revival pastors in the UMC. We were talking about the COB this morning after church. He is as disgusted as I am. Perhaps even more because he is required to publicly support his “fellow” clergy.

In Scripture, hell is referred to as a place of darkness and fiery torment where there is great "weeping and gnashing of teeth". I can only imagine the torment when they come to realize that they had a chance to come to God and they refused to respond. Nobody in hell will be there because they didn't have a chance to know the truth.

It always saddens me to hear of people who worship Satan because they think he's the one in charge of hell and they'll get on his good side and have it easy in hell - since they are consigned they will go there anyway. They don't get it that Satan will be the WORST punished of all there and his lying and deceiving is geared towards stealing souls from God. Nothing he might say or do is true, it's ALL a lie. He is called "the Father of lies" and all he does is to steal, lie and destroy.

Yet, God loves ALL mankind and His will is that all be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Those who diligently seek Him WILL find the truth and it's up to them what they will do with it when it is revealed. Only when they die is it too late to change their destination. Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION". (2 Cor. 6:2)

Yes, I agree. If all this was just some cosmic accident and somehow order developed from chaos (which is impossible), then there is no reason or meaning to life. The only purpose then, I suppose, is one of survival of the fittest. Reality then becomes whatever is "right" in your own eyes. It's a pretty dangerous world when that goes on.
