First the Jews were gassed, now it’s the Muslims (Rosenberg is for war)
Joel Rosenberg's Blog ^ | 8/26/2013 | Joel C. Rosenberg

Posted on 08/26/2013 1:52:56 PM PDT by Dr. Thorne

First the Jews were gassed, now it’s the Muslims. I am a Christian. I say the world must act.

Under Hitler, it was the Jews who were gassed. Now under Assad it is the Muslims.

I am a Christian. My conscience cannot bear the thought of any human being, regardless of their race, or religion, or nationality, suffer such evil. I say the world must act now.

The lesson of Auschwitz: A regime that uses poison gas to murder must suffer the swift sword of justice by a unified world.

If such a regime can be stopped before it uses weapons of mass destruction, the world has a moral obligation to act boldly and decisively. If a regime uses WMD before the world can or does act, the world must move quickly to stop such evil before more can be killed.

I now support military action against the Assad regime. Before last week’s chemical weapons massacre, I didn’t support such intervention. Now I do.

No one wants al Qaeda or the Muslim Brotherhood to rise to power in Syria. I certainly don’t. I see the dangers ahead. I see the risks. The world powers will need to act wisely and carefully. But act they must.

Assad has crossed the red line. He is committing genocide. We cannot turn a blind eye. He must be stopped.

Author Joel C. Rosenberg (Damascus Countdown, The Last Jihad, etc.) has gone 100% neo-con. Although there is no evidence that Assad used gas in Syria, Rosenberg accuses him and calls for war against Assad.

This is extremely disappointing. I've read Rosenberg's books, both fiction and non-fiction, and found them to be of fairly high quality.

Now, he's a war-monger. The same guy who decries the Muslim Brotherhood's murder of Christians in Egypt wants the U.S. to send our troops to their death helping the MB in Syria because someone used gas!

How does he reconcile this? He doesn't but to say he doesn't want the MB or al Qaeda in power. Really?

Joel, that's what you are going to get. You've been co-opted by the neo-cons and those who seek perpetual war. Shame on you.

For the most part, with a few exceptions [**cough** George Soros] the Jews didn’t gas themselves, but in this case, the Muslims gassed the Muslims.

The Obama machine, including Organizing America, are now beginning their propaganda efforts to drum up support for Obama to go to war. You will begin to see a sprinkling of people come out in support of going to war in Syria. Code Pink and all the other “anti-war” groups (who were really Democrats who wanted to win back the White House from Bush) will remain silent in their tacit support and approval for military action.

Watch this smattering of support to “grow” with more and more articles saying, “Obama has to do something!” Watch it reach a crescendo until the bombs start falling and then they will switch to hearty support of Obama’s “courageous” action.

Obastard is just looking for any excuse, even if the evidence for that excuse cannot be determined.

When these people say “the world,” they mean America. No way.. let someone else deal with this mess. It isn’t our damned fight.

Exactly! That is the distinction the author fails to mention, although one could argue the NYTimes was complicit.

Obama The War Criminal and Number One Enemy of Humanity used gas in Syria by proxy so he can spread Islamofacism.

Assad has crossed the red line. He is committing genocide.

So is al qaeda. The muslim brotherhood and assad are merely using different means to the same end, so WHY is it any of our business if sand monkeys want to kill themselves.

What is the exit strategy this time Joel?

Do we blow up some stuff and then leave the factions to continue fighting among themselves?

Do we put in some sort of interim government and then withdraw before a new viable state comes together, once again leaving the factions to continue to fight among themselves?

Or do we go into real nation building and install a military dictatorship for the decades it will take to transform Syria back into a real country?

I say we go with Plan D: Do nothing except encourage the Christians to get the heck out and support them in their efforts to begin their lives again in other countries.

"Code Pink and all the other “anti-war” groups (who were really Democrats who wanted to win back the White House from Bush) will remain silent in their tacit support and approval for military action."

These groups have only been silenced by the MSM. The MSM is not communist. It is not socialist. It is not hard leftist. It is liberal. They exclude almost as much stuff from the left as they do from the right. They are toadies to the status quo which is left-leaning corporate welfare state "capitalism".

The hard leftists don't consume enough stuff for them to generate enough ad revenues. The hard leftists don't support crony capitalists. The hard left has little or no voice in the MSM.

All the leftwing nut jobs like Noam Chomsky and the DEMOCRACY NOW! DEMOCRACY NOW! crowd are screaming against Obama and his continuation of the neocon policies of Bush and Cheney, but their voices do not fit with the program.

We need to identify the evil we are fighting. The evil is left leaning fascism not whack job academic communism.

The MSM didn't stop Bush when he went into Iraq and Afghanistan.

They may have made a bit of a hissy fit, but not sufficient to cause anything to happen.

The MSM knows who butters its bread. It's not whack job commie professors and leftist radio personalities. It's large corporations that profit from neocon wars and liberal fascist bureaucracies.

That sounds exactly like my step-son. Who, sadly, is a military officer. It's not just sad. It's a DISGRACE.
