so true....and in a related story...the more our “brains” discover about physic and space and time and biology and so on....the more some of those supposed “fables” in the Old Testament, and some of those strange pronouncements in the NT, MAKE SENSE intellectually! God’s sense of humor....

One of the touchiest discussions among sincere Christians today is over the details of the manner of creation. It has proven very helpful to me that Dr. Hugh Ross has thoroughly explored an old earth creationist view and shown that it gives “naturalistic evolution” no more hope than does the neo-fundamentalist view of the 24-hour creation days. Yet I won’t be dogmatic against the latter view, as God is clearly a God of mighty miracles and COULD do something like that if He so chose. But the fact of His creation and the fact that Nature shows that nothing else would suffice to bring about its glories, is paramount. I do respectfully ask that Christians consider both views, and the possibility of a metaphysical regime change which would render it not possible for any sort of physical science as we know it to fully fathom the creation acts.
