Personally, I lean towards pre-trib rapture as I find it best supported by Scripture, but we’ll find out who’s right after the fact.

In the meantime, our job is to go out and make disciples and spread the good news about salvation through Jesus.

I agree with all of that, and I really respect Chuck Missler’s teaching on the subject, who agrees with that position, and yet as brainy and studied as he is, he remains very humble and also respectful of other positions.

I've tried to prepare myself for the coming persecution and martyrdom of which prophecy speaks. I've understood that we as Christians will endure at least some of it, possibly right up to the Abomination of Desolation. I'm not going to be hardline about it though, since there appears to be at least some scriptural support to be found for all but Amillennialism. I hope Pretrib folks are right. Hope for the best. It looks as if we'll be spared the very worst tribulation if my reading is at all accurate, but we'll by no means be spared from it all. So I'm prepared for the worst, or try to be. It's a difficult thing to contemplate. I try to fear not, but it's a fearsome thing.

You know Metmom..our nation was raised to give the Jewish people a safe haven...and to bring the light of salvation to the world...

That in mind it would now appear Israel is pretty much set now to protect herself militarily if she has to....might be our job as a safe haven is completed...and the fact we no longer acknowledge the God of the Bible in this country, kicked him out of our schools...and killing the unborn children which would have given us answers to our countries needs...so it’s pretty apparent his protection of this country has been lifting slowly but surely...and he’s left us to the Government now the people have settled for.

I find it more and more apparent people in this country closed hearted and minded concerning the things of God...or changing Him to something He is not. Again...evidence His “Spirit” is lifting and the people are being prepared to willingly believe “the Lie”.

Personally, I think that the fact that modern premillenial dispensationalism is vastly different from the historic premillenial chiliasm that some early Church Fathers held discounts Darby's anomalous teachings. Amillenialism was also well-represented by the early Church Fathers, even from the time of Justin Martyr in the 100s AD--and I tend to view postmillenialism as a close relative of amillenialism.

But at the same time, I agree with Justin Martyr when he wrote, "I and many others are of this opinion [premillennialism], and [believe] that such will take place, as you assuredly are aware; but, on the other hand, I signified to you that many who belong to the pure and pious faith, and are true Christians, think otherwise."
