I was watching MSN the other day and was flabergasted at their summation of the NSA scandals. Their take summarized that, Oh, Well, in order to be secure we all have to give up the privacy of our cell phones and realize in this day and age we have to think differently,..accepting there really isn’t any more privacy....

I’m not looking forward to persecution, but after my brush with death this last fall from the MRSA, I’ve lost all fear of dying.
If I were not sure of where I was going when I died, yeah, I’d try to hang on as long as I could as well, but I know so I’m good.
My goal at this point is to live a life where I am not going to have to hang my head when facing Jesus. I can’t do anything about the past but I can do something about the now.
Well, IMO we are enduring some of it now, albeit only the tiniest amounts.
Sometimes when God judged nations in the past, the righteous did get caught in the fallout, so to speak, but I expect that the bride will be spared the full weight of the judgment meant for unbelievers.
Some stuff in Scripture doesn't make any sense until you are either IN the situation or past it.
I tend to follow Wesley and the modern paleorthodox when I say, “Whatever is new, is not true.” Darby looks pretty new to me.
They are right that there isn’t any more privacy and hasn’t been for decades....unfortunately people are just beginning to understand it is so...and that’s a very hard pill to swallow because unfortunately it is far too late to do anything about it.....that train left the depot long ago.
So we read and hear the struggle of the people every day....bringing up the Constitution that they know now our Government hasn’t been operating from..also for a long time.
It really is heartbreaking...I’ve had my share of tears....even though I understand why it’s all happening. It is still a loss.
Thank God our “Security” does not rest in men! But in our great and Gloriously Powerful Almighty God.....
I think one of the worst things for losing privacy is the social media. It’s absolutely appalling what people post about their private lives on Facebook, for example.
And the government can harvest ALL that information.
Big Brother, and they don’t even have to spy on anyone when people VOLUNTARILY hand out the information.

It gives a perspective that helps understand. Do a study on the Jewish wedding and the rapture. It's enlightening.
What new media? I haven't noticed anything has changed. At least for the good.

And it’s the wicked who are “taken”, not the righteous. People need to read Matthew 24:37-41 and Luke 17:26-37 a little more closely.

...and the push to accept isn’t from media alone. There’s a strong, and growing stronger, groups converging and comming together where the idea is to “frame” the mindset of people and control them via the technology that’s coming......
Some think that’s impossible, but all you have to do is look at the youth today who have their eyes/minds 24/7 in a screen. It IS ‘shaping’ their minds and the “dark” techies know it...and are preparing for it. Many of those appear to the public as an “Angel of light”.
That’s fascinating. I didn’t know that about Jewish wedding customs. I had heard about the groom getting the house ready and coming for the bride before, but not the rest of it nor how neatly it ties into the rapture.
Seems to me like the lines are being drawn and people are being forced to decide where they are going to stand. I could see this kind of purifying before the rapture takes place, but cannot see that true believers, who are already judged righteous, would be going through the tribulation. Although God did not spare a lot of the martyrs in the days of Rome. But my understanding of the end times stuff is that it’s God’s judgment on the unbelieving world and to get Israel back to himself.
So, RC, I hear you from your comment in post 45 where you say, “So I’m prepared for the worst, or try to be. It’s a difficult thing to contemplate. I try to fear not, but it’s a fearsome thing.” Of course, the flesh wants to fear, and honestly I am not a big fan of suffering, so I don’t want to go through it either.
Yes...but they don’t “think” about that, they are under the impression their life is their own and non-touchable.. ‘Unless they give permission”...foolishly deceived and willing so. They have no sense of evil nor of danger....but then that is the “CupCake Generation.”...Adults should know better .
I remember the first time I used a computer very well, and will never forget the alarm bells that went off when I discovered what it could do.....moreso what a nation or man could do if they ever got control of it!
You know as we speak there is war for who is to control the Internet....and we know who will when all is said and done. And the Generation here are primed well to be deceived.
It’s kind of widely recognized that computer games can rewire the brain. There’s something about the visual and auditory input so that you don’t need to use your imagination, and the speed as which the input happens, which makes reality seem slow and boring.
If you notice, also, kids don’t interact socially much these days. How many times do you see groups of kids walking down the street, not talking to each other, but all on their cell phones texting one another?
People are losing their social skills and becoming somewhat detached from reality.
Interesting as this pretty much describes the world we live in.
That's one of those things in prophecy that doesn't make sense until you're there.
Also, the technology we have available allows for the implementation of a one world government and currency and the mark of the beast, for buying and selling.

I fully agree....Additionally it’s all about appealing to the senses and experiencing of these. The mind, the ability to reason, to imagine, to create is being shut down in a computer world that in reality is not real.
Their “attachment” is now to whatever devises they have an accumulation of those. Their ‘Focus” is blurred.
Kind of reminds me of what I heard *The Matrix* is about.
