I'm going to read Msgr. Pope's comments carefully. This situation, along with other societal problems and personal things nearly has me stroking out.
Elections have consequences. The Obama administration has brought you all of this and it was foreseeable. Yet many Christians of all stripes voted for this abomination or stayed home to demonstrated their own purity of conscience.

YES! Thanks goodness its not just me! I realize many would respond with “get rid of FB” etc, but I use it for work & family contacts. I’m shocked at the people whom I thought were conservative (some are “devout” Catholic friends of mine, even) who are in full support of this abomination! And if I have to look at that ridiculous red equal sign that has taken over the profile pic of so many of my friends, I’m gonna barf! Grrrr!!!
I just posted a lengthy response on a Catholic moms FB page about how those in support of this “marriage” are NOT in communion with the Church & should not be presenting themselves for Holy Communion. We’ll see what kind of hate that gets. These women all think they’re so holy & pious, and in most instances they are great Catholics, but they are drinking the pop culture kool-aid on this and I am quite frankly shocked. They’re justifying it with this phoney “separation of church & state” crap and the argument that not everyone is Catholic. I’m ready to pull my hair out.
I think I’ll just get on the treadmill for a nice run & lock myself in my own world for awhile. Lord, have Mercy on us
I never do facebutt, so I really don’t know anything about the “=” sign. However, I do know the queers will never get what they really want down inside .... acceptance. They can get their fornication marriages, sick public displays, etc. but it will always drive them crazy that normal people are thinking that these people are sick despicable sub-humans and avoiding them like the plague. They only ones that accept them are the sick despicable Progressives.

This all started a very long time ago but escalated dramatically under Bill Clinton. Suddenly oral sex was not sex. Lying about sex was normal. Cheating on your wife was just a small personal indiscretion. I left organized religion because preachers across the country were saying it was no big deal. Everyone said it was inexcusable but he didn't do it. Then when he admitted it everyone excused it.
That's really more of a suggestion than a rule.
I am totally having the same experience as you. I am shocked at how many of my conservative friends and family are just fine with gay marriage. And now we know the answer to why our party is failing. Because deep down where it counts they dont have a moral compass. I have unfriended the bible bashers and some that i was most disappointed in. Then i was called sad for not wanting to have these folks on my facebook. Sorry but it is hard enough to live a christian life is this day and age. Definitly cant surround myself with evil disguised as friends and think i will thrive.
It too shall pass. Give it a week. The exhibitionists on Fakebook will soon again show us their ugly mugs.
I'm getting tired of hearing/reading people, also here, refer to pederasty by a synonym of the word "joyful".
