Good luck with that. But as for me, Ill continue to stand fast in what was delivered to us by the Apostles.

Run! Run! That’s the best thing you could do to solve the problem of your infantile insults and posts.

“You are the one who insisted that i answer your comment.”
I wanted a rational response. Not the ravings of someone who doesn’t even know what point he is making, but yet still wants to insult his opponents.
and now we have Bruce marrying George and Sally marrying susan....and we want to make that legal ????
You are the one who insisted that i answer your comment.
I wanted a rational response. Not the ravings of someone who doesnt even know what point he is making, but yet still wants to insult his opponents.
My first comment on this subject was to Colofornian in who i do not fully agree and also do not fully disagree.
The only thing i put down in the comment was Bible scripture and nothing else, i did this so that he might think on it more, simply because even though i am like every one else and do make assumptions i do not think that arguments on scripture should be based on any kind of an assumption, i believe it should be based on plain words that leaves nothing to assume.
I do not think i tried to trash Colofornian and in his answer he did not trash me.
But you are making all kinds of assumptions as to what i believe based on the scripture that i wrote down.
I fully understand that Thou shalt not comment adultery is one of gods commandments, i am pretty sure that Abraham and Jacob also knew them even much better than we do.
I do not even imagine that we are closer to God than Abraham ( the friend of God ) or Jacob ( the father of the tribes of Israel ) Even the Apostles looked up to them.
I for one am not going to accuse These chosen men of God of committing adultery, and that is why i said if you can show me in plain words where God said that a man can not have more than one wife i am with you.
I have spent a year or two listening to preachers preach what they assume to be true, no more, it does not mean what you assume is not true but it also does not mean that it is true.
That is the only way i can explain what my point is and that was my only purpose for sending the scripture to Colofornian.
“Maybe we are both raving a little.”
Tis just you.
“I for one am not going to accuse These chosen men of God of committing adultery, and that is why i said if you can show me in plain words where God said that a man can not have more than one wife i am with you.”
What was wrong with the scripture already provided? If it says, “he commits adultery who marries another”, isn’t that enough? God did not command Abraham to take on another woman. In fact, he did so contrary to God’s promise that he would have a child through his first wife. So little you know of the things you quote! And David certainly committed adultery, when he took another man’s wife and had her husband sent to the front to be killed. Solomon’s wives led him to apostasy and heathenism. That was not the will of God, either. Nevertheless, divorce and polygamy were certainly permitted, but “for the hardness of their hearts.” And from thenceforth in the Christian era, we are to have only one wife, patterned after Adam and Eve.
Tit 1:6-7 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. (7) For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
As for assumptions. This thread is about polygamy, and you are arguing with people that polygamy is somehow commanded by God, despite Christ putting it out. That’s no assumption. It’s your clear, muddled intent to defend the practices of men like Joseph Smith who was a mass adulterer.
Ok, you are sure too bright for me, got to go kid.
“got to go kid.”
Until you crawl back to babble at us again.
By kid.
Nevertheless, divorce and polygamy were certainly permitted, but for the hardness of their hearts.
All so, you refereed to titus 1:6 you also need to read 1:5
Titus 1:5
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
by reading 1:6 it is plain that he is to appoint elders to the position of Bishops.
Not just any elder would do, they had to meet the criteria in 1:6
Titus 1:6
If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
The point being of course is that this does not prove what you want it to prove.
More of your assumptions below
Here are your own words which i do agree with.
Now, for my own reasons which have nothing to do with this stupid persecution of the Mormons or any one else who happens to not worship the scribes and pharisees.
I have been thinking for some time of getting off of this website because :simply put: this is a good time to get off
so that i am not tempted to say things that should not be said.
I firmly believe that self righteous hypocrites will not have ever lasting life and i need to get away from the temptation of the devils like you, there i said it, so long kid.
“There is no such words in the scriptures that i have found, that is just your gospel.”
Are you seriously still spamming me with your intense ignorance even after telling me you were leaving no less than two different times?
Let’s work on this again. Read it real slow, so maybe you’ll get it.
Mat 19:4-9 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
In opposition to the Jewish practice of divorce, Christ harkens them back to the example of Adam and Eve.
(7) They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? (8) He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. (9) And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
A man who puts away his wife and marries another does not simply have two separate wives. He is unlawfully wed to a second wife, and is therefore an adulterer.
Polygamy isn’t the main subject here, but divorce; nevertheless, it rules out polygamy as well.
This is again reinforced in the scriptures on the Bishops, who must be the husbands to one wife. Polygamist are ruled out from the highest positions in the church.
1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
And Deacons
1Ti 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
“The point being of course is that this does not prove what you want it to prove.”
How does that disprove anything I said? You’re so incoherent you think you’re making a logical argument. I don’t recognize a single logical point to even respond to. There’s nothing here. Nothing! And the scary part is you’re quite serious about this.
It was “I want to defend Mormonism’s practice of Polygamy, therefore, Random Quote + ??? = eye dispruv u!!!!$$!!!@@!!
“so long kid”
Be gone, thou rambling defender of heresies! Hopefully the third time is the charm.
Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.
Are you seriously still spamming me with your intense ignorance even after telling me you were leaving no less than two different times?
I can see you know how to read but there is also a little thing called understanding which i can see is not up your alley, and no, you can not interpret that any way you want to, i did not say up your aaaaaaa.
What i mean is that you have to rightly divide the word of God and not jump to conclusions and try to make something mean what you want it to mean.
Its been 2 months man, it’s time to move on!
