Spirited: Yes, Mormonism speaks of an already existing man-god, but because Mormonism cannot account for the origin of life it omits any account of how and where this man-god came to be and depends on its adherents to simply accept on the face of it that he exists.

However, analysis reveals that the answer to the man-god’s existence is found within the ancient concept of eternally existing matter.

Even though Mormonism dresses itself up in Biblical language, analysis of its’ metaphysical foundations reveals that it is a variation of nature religion.

I don’t understand the cries of “Mormon bashing” on this conservative Christian site.

Mormons are not generally characterized as promoters of socialism.

On the FR home page, FR is characterized as "Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web". I may find myself corrected, but I don't think Jim wants it to be reduced to a name-calling religious forum, where Evangelicals bash Mormons and Catholics, others bash Jews, etc.

Conservatism is not advanced nor benefited by in-fighting among conservatives on the basis of religion. As far as I'm concerned, if somebody is engaged in opposing socialism and Islamism, then he is my brother, without regard for his religious beliefs (or lack thereof).

There is none. You haven’t specified the SB teachings you’re referencing, but yes, we all know there are doctrinal differences among Protestant denominations, and between Catholics and Protestants. However, we are all Christians. It’s my humble opinion that God, in His mercy, understands our fallibility and will forgive those differences.

But Mormonism is not Christianity, no matter how much some might want it to be, or teach that it is. Why do you have a problem with that being pointed out? Shouldn’t people be steered away from false religions, if possible?
