But muslims DO have the NT and revere Jesus as a prophet.

They’re not completely ignorant of Him.

Weeping idols are not from God

no!!!! God needs burning bushes, a whale regurgitating a human, a convenient Ram caught in some bushes, or a guy pounding on a rock getting water......O.K., now it's all clear!!!

Yep, nothing...Not nothing really, deception...

if you have time, please comment on "our Lady of Guadalupe" and the existance of the cloak given to St. Juan Diego.

It all comes down to this....

Exodus 20:4-5 4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

That takes care of the idols issue right there, weeping or not.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

SO much for *apparitions*.

Besides the fact that He detests idols. Hey, if you want to fall at the foot of an idol, don’t ask me to be a part of it. I won’t fall in front of an idol, wood, stone, ceramic or ortherwise. Just a sampling: Leviticus 19:4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19:3-5 (in Context) Leviticus 19 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations

in every case that you cite, God condemned the idols because people were praying TO the idol instead of praying to God....Catholics use statuary to decorate buildings...they are works of art as are pictures....Some of the worlds most beloved works of art are sculptures....Enjoy them for what they are....decorations.

so you don't have a camera nor a picture of your mother???? You don't think that pictures in the paper are of any use, maybe satanic....your class yearbook had to really terrorize you.....how sad to completely misinterpret the meaning of a bible passage!!

You forgot the important part of the command....

You shall not bow down to them or serve them

I do not bow down to or serve the pictures I have of anyone.

You don’t think He’s omnipresent?

The command is to not bow down to them, which Catholics do.

Do I need to post images of that AGAIN? Or the prayers TO saints FOR things, like the prayers to Mary?

Catholics use statuary to decorate buildings...

I don't believe that.

But since they lure people into praying to them, lighting candles to them, and bowing down to them, they need to be removed as they are drawing people into sin.

Buildings can be decorated beautifully without idols statues to pray to, light candles to, and bow down to.

I missed nothing! I said that statues in the Catholic church are decorations, we do not worship "idols" and you know it......There was a list posted of a zillion bible passages condemning the worship of Idols....noone disagrees, but the "idol" or statue or picture or icon, or image, or charicature of something on the earth or under the earth etc etc etc is not, in and of itself evil.....sheesh

we don't pray to, light candles to, nor bow down to a statue. Youn seem to know little about the Catholic church yet continue to make inane statements concerning Her beliefs and practices.

In every Catholic church you will find a crucifix....in case you didn't know , it is a cross with the corpus (Christ) attached.....just like it might have looked at the actual crucifixation.

Catholics use that to remind them of what Christ actually went through for all of us.....we do not pray to the crucifix, it was manufactured by a church supply factory, probably in China...it is an object, it is a symbol, it is like the picture of your mom that you don't pay homage to.....It is a decoration but it helps us remember a person, just like the picture of mom!!!

Of course not.../heavy sarcasm,p.

Not for real. That's a nice, neat Jesus being crucified on the Catholic cross. Not a beat up, whipped, beard torn out, bloody, bones dislocated out of joint, naked Jesus.

Catholics use that to remind them of what Christ actually went through for all of us.....

That's what Jesus instituted communion for. Why isn't what HE did good enough that the Catholic church thought it could do better and change it?

we do not pray to the crucifix, it was manufactured by a church supply factory, probably in China...

The same China which is a communist country which has viciously persecuted anyone who professes belief in God?

Wonderful......

Words fail me at that.... There are just too many responses one could make to that to choose.
