Yes, if you add up the years (and i did one time in church as a kid when i was bored with the sermon), it turns out Methuselah died in the flood. That’s like your 95 year old uncle Murray dying because he got hit by a bus.

You can only tell from Genesis that Methuselah died in the year of the flood.
Jewish tradition is that the rains began 7 days after Methuselah’s death.
The thing that strikes me is that Abram was born in 1948 A.C., the same as the year of Israel’s rebirth A.D. Now that is prophetic.
