HUNTSVILLE, January 16, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – An elderly woman was handcuffed and charged with misdemeanor harassment after spraying holy water outside a Huntsville abortion facility.

Joyce Fecteau, who is in her seventies, was arrested after pro-abortion counter protestors complained after coming into contact with holy water from the spray bottle she was carrying.

Pro-abortion demonstrator Lisa Cox accused Fecteau of spraying her in the face with an “unknown substance.” She claims the incident occurred December 22 on the sidewalk outside the “Alabama Women's Center for Reproductive Alternatives” abortion clinic.

As a result of Cox’s allegations, Fecteau was arrested outside the same clinic January 9 and charged with misdemeanor harassment. Video of the arrest shows the elderly Fecteau being escorted away from the abortion center by a Huntsville police officer as she continues to pray.

The pro-bort escorts were burning noxious voodoo herbs ... the anti-bort knew she would be harassed by the noxious acrid burning stuff and had the water spray to knock some of the smoke out of the air... I suspect the burning was done in the right spot to carry the smoke right at Mrs. Fecteau.

*********************************

Watters said the “noxious material” mentioned by Fecteau was a “smudge stick” – a bundle of sage and other dried herbs frequently used in New Age, Pagan and Shamanist rituals.

you sometimes hear about 'holy annointing oil' ~ that was always a favorite on the advertisements back in the days of AM radio and rides through Wheeling WV late at night.

The valley is so deep there are radio dead spots.

I watched the movie “The Rite” yesterday in which Anthony Hopkins portrays an exorcist. In telling a seminarian who was assisting him that the possessed hate holy items, he sprinkled some holy water on a possessed girl and she started hissing.

Only one policeman , and only used handcuffs, he must have been a big tough son of a gun

“I had been told repeatedly by my health care provider not to breathe in that smoke because it’s making me sick,” said Fecteau. “I can’t tell if [the holy water] drifted on this lady’s face.”

Her health care provider? why did,nt she just leave?

“I can’t tell if [the holy water] drifted on this lady’s face.”

Why was she spraying holy water around? din,t Jesus say not to cast your pearls before the swine? not that i am convinced that holy water is even holy.

At any rate, the murdered babies are in Gods hands.

Water that is blessed.

It is in the category of sacramentals used by the Catholic Church.

Thank for explaining.

Is it considered symbolic or is it believed to have real qualities that set it apart?

Yes! I would deliver overnight packages in one place. Strange people. One wore a dagger medal around neck. Very strange things being felt.

You’re referring to Mosaic Law.

Ask Satan that question. Also be reminded that in the Bible it is written that what the Church binds on earth is bound in heaven... The "Church" are followers of Christ. It's not the Roman Catholic Church. Holy water is pointless.

No offense, but your response was exactly what I expected it would be. It’s the OT, so it doesn’t count.

Toss out those Ten Commandments! /s

Funny you say this, because the Roman Catholic Church does the exact same thing with verses like 2 Timothy 3:15-17 in order to ignore the fact that the Bible reinforces the concept of sola scriptura.

But that’s what I’d expect from an apostate church.

“Toss out those Ten Commandments! /s”

Christ FULFILLED the old covenant. There’s no more need for holy water just as there’s no more need for high priests, works-based salvation or daily sacrifice for atonement of sins.

Yes, Christ fulfilled the old covenant. But I hope you don’t believe that the Ten Commandments are disposable because of that.

“Works-based salvation”....it’s true, no one can earn their way to heaven. But Scripture says faith without works is dead, which means to me that if one is living for Christ, good works will be a natural outflow of that new life.

“So you assume I’m Catholic?”

Your username is that of Henry IIIV’s first wife who was staunchly Catholic. Is that a coincidence?

My apologies if I assume incorrectly. :)

Hey, that’s good doctrine and I won’t disagree with any of it :D

"My apologies if I assume incorrectly. :)"

No problem; it isn't an insult. I picked my username because I admire Catherine's resoluteness in the face of what she suffered at the hands of Henry, and her devotion to God in general, regardless of denomination.
