A Christian high school teacher in Cheektowaga, N.Y., is suing her employer after district officials told her to take personal signs and religious items out of her classroom. Joelle Silver, a science educator who has been working in the Cheektowaga Central School District for seven years, decided to take legal action after receiving a letter (read it here) asking her to comply with officials’ request.

The last thing the Buffalo area needs is a teacher exposing children to scripture and destroying the secular utopia the Democrats have created.

We’re supposed to be teaching children that there is no God, remember? The best way for socialism, communism, and Satansim to creep into the hearts and minds of the public is to indoctrinate the children first. Young minds are the most easily manipulated, because they’re geared for learning. Don’t make me remind you a second time.

I don't think "The Blaze" needs to be excerpted.

From the article:
Silver had four small posters in her room with psalm verses on them, a poster with a religious quotation from Ronald Reagan, a drawing that the district said is reference to the crucifixion, a poster that had a Bible verse superimposed on the American flag and school books, among other items.

But, if she had a rainbow flag, the symbol of homosexuality, that would be okay.

These liberals can’t have it both ways. You can’t allow symbols of liberal causes and say that’s allowed, while banning those which liberals find distasteful.

Those who hate Christians are simply evil people who worship other gods.

Let me get this straight...she's a teacher at a Christian high school and they want to her do this? Where would it be appropriate if not there?

It’s a public school.

Cheektowaga is a known “pink flamingo” area. That is to say, a high Polish-American, Catholic, demographic who like to place pink flamingo on their well-kept lawns. I would think the school district will have some ‘splaining to do.

I think you are confused. Above, the word “Christian” modifies “teacher” rather than “high school.” So it’s a Christian teacher at a public high school.

I’d like to know more about what the symbols were.

It is a Christian teacher in a public high school. But it doesn’t always make a difference. I was denied renewal of my contract by a private Christian high school because I had a pro-life bulletin board (no pics) with incendiary statements such as “God is pro-life” or “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. God”

What's so wrong is the hypocrisy:

A social worker at the very same High School displays inside and outside of her office various messages that promote the "gay rights" agenda, including LGBT-themed posters and advertisements from activist organizations.

The letter states Silver had a 'prayer box' in the classroom that was being used by the club throughout the school day and instructed her to remove it. The complaint alleges that, by contrast, the school's Gay Straight Alliance is allowed to have students participate in club activities during the school day.

Get your kids out. Homeschool. Vote down any/all bonds that support this outrage and abomination. Bon

"Congress shall make no law...." That's it. That's the best part f the First Amendment, the "action" part.

"...respecting an estbalishment of religion."

Did Jefferson create or sponsor an establishment of religion when he said in his famous Bill for Establishing Religious Freedom, “Almighty God hath created the mind free”?

Did Lincoln create or sponsor an establishment of religion when he said in his famous Gettysburg Address, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom”?

Did Roosevelt create or sponsor an establishment of religion when he said in his famous Military Pocket Bible given to troops, “As Commander-in-Chief, I take pleasure in commending the reading of the Bible to all who serve in the armed forces of the United States”?
