to free the world's least developed countries from their foreign debt, enabling them to invest in education.I'd like to see proof of the "investment in education" as well as some education outcomes before I believe this accomplished anything but making some rich people and dictators feel better about themselves.

I would really lie a list of these countries where debt has been forgiven. So many would be places where corruption is rife within government institutions. I would be very surprised to see that the money went anywhere other than in the pockets of those in charge.
