Report: Arabs burning 'First Temple cedars'

Cedar beams dating to biblical times found at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, moved some time ago out of doors and left in the weather, now have been deposited unceremoniously at a dumping ground for local Arabs to use as firewood, according to a new report.

According to Israel National News, it was a group of Jews who ascended the Temple Mount on Sunday who were shocked to see the ancient beams – apparently used during the time of the Holy Temple – left to be used for firewood.

Archaeologists have dated the beams to the First Temple period, and they have been described as the “Cedars of Lebanon,” which are discussed in the Tanach.

Officials with the Temple Mount Sifting Project appeared to confirm parts of the report, citing an article from Nadav Shragai of Israel Hayom! that the beams were endangered.

I live near Mojave CA, which is becoming inundated with windmills. I saw a similar sight in the Calif Delta. It is my opinion that the Greens think they can erect windmills at such a scale as to provide all the power we need.

I grew up on the Columbia River, and we took school field trips to Grand Coulee Dam and some of the others. I have visited Hoover Dam also. I am quite aware of their multipurpose capability, and that they represent American Can-Do Spirit at its finest.

The environmentalists want to destroy hydroelectric dams ostensibly to return the earth to its pristine state, or whatever. But, I contend, they want to destroy the Icons of American Acoomplishment in the same way Islam is destroying history (cedar beams, idols, etc.).

While I highly doubt this wood was from the First Temple, this kind of sacrilege is par for the course.

If Islamic fundamentalists raze and destroy their own monuments in Mecca and Medina - and they do - why would they care about anyone else's?

Muslims are trying to deny all Hebrew/Jewish presence in Israel prior to Islam. They try to secretly destroy any archeological evidence that they find that confirms any Hebrew/Jewish presence. They’ve been doing that on the Temple Mount every chance they get.

Israel is nice enough to let them have the Temple Mount, even though it’s the holiest site in Judaism, and this is what they get for it. If I ran Israel, I’d be taking it back and leveling the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa mosque.

They do things like this because they disdain other religions. And they scream that they’re being picked on.

The sad truth appears to be that those in power in Israel DO NOT want a temple. When they had control of the Temple Mount, they gave it up to the Muslims with a very few number of days. Having a temple would imply obligations that too few in Israel want to be burdened with. Since none of these actions does not stop them from fasting and mourning the loss of the two previous temples on Tisha B’Av, the “temple” is an abstract cultural icon that belongs only to the glories of the distant past.

Same here....then start the "exporting" back to Jordan where most of the diaperheaded squatters came from.
