Arabs Burning First Temple Pillars

A group of Jews that ascended the Temple Mount Sunday were shocked to see that ancient beams of wood that had apparently been used during the period of the Holy Temple were being used as firewood by Arabs on the Mount, and off it. Archaeologists have dated the wood as far back as the First Temple period, and appear to be among the celebrated “Cedars of Lebanon” mentioned in the Tanach.

Hard to tell from the reports and counter-reports what is really going, on other than that Muslims are destroying things.

No worries. When the Third Temple descends from heaven, it will squash their golden dome flat, and those inside the mosque will be spit out like water melon seeds and run like the dickens back to the Hijaz, apologizing profusely to every Jew they meet along the way, and stringing up all the rabble rowsers that incited them on any tree high enough to do the job properly as they go.

The Waqf of Jerusalem will be the first to be hoisted aloft, probably on a gallows made from the trees presently defiling the Temple Mount as accouterments for the aforementioned mosque. We have been patient for millenia. We can be patient a little while longer. The payday will be sweet enough to make it all worth while.

Yes, there will be a Third Temple, and yes the mosque will be gone, but I am not so sure about the Temple descending from heaven. Are you referring to Ezekiel's Temple? I always thought it was a building to be copied here on earth. Isa 66:1 says " Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?".

It’s argued about in the Talmud. One opinion is that the Temple will descend from On High, but we will have to build the gates. Anyway, I like to imagine the squishing the mosques (there are two) flat and spitting out moose limbs like watermelon seeds part. It just gives me a good feeling.

What about the fellows of the Land of Israel and Temple Mount Faithful? I get their newsletters and they are not waiting for a Temple to "squish the mosques" (as much fun as that would be) but they are getting ready to rebuild. And the Temple Institute is getting ready the vessels, clothing... they have even been able to cast a menorah.

I am especially praying today for the people of Israel. May the Lord guard you and strengthen you.

Such Temple rebuilding groups do not have the support of the leading Torah sages in Israel or the USA. This makes their efforts merely interesting instead of authoritative. Some think of their work as tourist attractions.

Temple Mount Institute or Temple Mount Faithful? I don't know about the first one, but the T.M. Faithful are quite a bunch a zealots and I would expect Gershon Salomon to get on it personally! After all, he was one of the soldiers who liberated the Temple Mount in the Six Day War.

BTW, not only I am an American and a Christian, but I was born and grew up in Spain, so I did not really "live" during those days. What was the reason for defense minister Moshe Dayan to return control of the Temple Mount to the Moslem authorities? They had just won a war!
