My comment was a reply to a quote from the poster, who was describing the content of his class (who is and who isn’t a prophet). Jews do not consider Daniel a prophet.

A Prophet is anyone who has heard from God and speaks His message. Daniel certainly qualifies. The Jews can consider anything they want, but they can’t deny that Daniel had visions from God, including one that even gave the time table for when the Messiah would appear.
