This is the second article now within an 8-day period that the South Florida Sun-Sentinel has begun its own dismantling of Mitt's Mormonism...The first was:

Robyn Blumner: Romney's 'Mormon question' should have more to do with LDS church's past racism

So we know that Mitt has the chance of doing the worst ever among black voters; this is now true among Jewish voters...all because of Mormon theology! [So much for those who would love to hermetically seal Mormonism away from voters' eyes!]

From the article: ...with Mitt Romney possibly becoming the Republican nominee, it's important to remember that his Church of Latter Day Saints, the Mormons, had most likely baptized my dead grandfather, a ritual they've been performing on 6 million dead Jews...they believe in choice, stipulating that any dead person can refuse to be baptized — but so far they'd heard no objections. (I kid you not.) Every Jewish organization has begged the Mormons to stop. They promised to do so, but continue the practice. And they've never explained why they perform this necrophiliac aberration. I therefore demand, for my grandfather and the rest of the dead, that Mormons immediately reverse all baptisms. They keep a great set of books and will have no problem to publish lists of un-baptized Jews...

For more on this, see this vanity I posted: Are Mormon people LITERAL saviors of dead Jews, others? (The OTHER World Series: Vanity)

To see how this theme will go from an every 4-5 month drip to a daily drumbeat, see this NY Times piece from late last year: Anne Frank, a Mormon

If the Mormons are right, then they are doing the Jews a service. If the Jews are right, then the Mormons do the Jews no harm.

If I am right, it doesn’t matter.

If the Mormons are right, then they are doing the Jews a service.

(Well, by all means then...why don't you supply a comprehensive list of your own relatives to be dead-dunked then...oh, and while you're at it, be sure to list who's single...because the Mormons also perform a marriage sealing ritual for the dead...why they even did that for Father Damian in Hawaii...so, hey what a way to get those RC priests & nuns finally hitched, eh?)

If the Jews are right, then the Mormons do the Jews no harm.

Let's say I ran an outfit. Let's say I was so charismatic that I got millions to work for me...for free. In fact, let's say dozens & dozens & dozens & dozens & dozens of thousands actually paid to work for me. (like Mormon missionaries do)

Now, let's said I tied up MILLIONS of man-hours every year performing either a worthless ritual of ZERO benefit or doing the prep for that worthless ritual.

And so now, wasting a good chunk of peoples' lives is deemed by you as "no harm, no foul?"

Now...same thing as above...but the outfit I ran was quite religious. And you knew that responsibility for making disciples was Biblical, yet could be put off til post-death due to necrophilic baptism. And so..."who cares? about the unsaved?" (Hey, they'll get a second chance)

That's called spreading false security.

This is what happens when you try to export something (your opinions) without thinking thru more dimensions...there IS a this side of the veil dimension to all of this doncha know?

If the author really thinks that Mormons have the ability to affect the souls of his ancestors, then that’s something he’ll just have to deal with.

I don’t ascribe that much power to their farcical aquatic ceremonies.

IN May 2011, after over 20 years of negotiations, the Mormon Elders’ legal team along with BYU legal advisors signed letter of understanding FOR THE ELEVENTH TIME with Jewish Organizations, both from the Diaspora and Israel, that stated the Mormon Church would halt all future Mormom Baptisms of Jewish Holocaust victims.

Within 21 days the Church broke the letter of understanding and is again officially supporting the researchers at BYU and other Salt Lake City libraries that specifically are paid to research Jewish Holocaust and other notable Jewish deceased to Baptize them into Mormonism post mortem.

The Mormon leadership are scumbags. And it’s in their self interests to make sure no Mormon is ever elected President, so they can maintain their control over their flock through the persecution boogeyman which is so ingrained in the core Mormon belief system in Utah and inter-mountain West region.

They have spent decades pissing on the graves of ancestors of >20 million of Americans, do not expect forgiveness or compromise for political expediency from those who take offense by this horrible practice.

Do you believe Mormons have some kind of magic power to affect your dead relatives' souls?

You believe the Mormons have any power over your ancestors? Really?

And are you also really accusing the Mormons of not doing enough work to make disciples here on earth? That’s funny.

No.

Your Q is better directed to donmeaker; 'twas he who postulated:
If the Mormons are right, then they are doing the Jews a service.

Do I understand this correctly?

Is this a liberal Jew somehow making fun of another’s religion - after first lamenting the holocaust?

Truly, I do not understand...save for the possible explanation that liberalism is a true demonstration of what happens when one looses all brainpower.

LOTS of Mormons become ex-Mormon. Many head into atheism. Many become true Christians. But do you realize how long it takes ex-Mormons to shed all of the false beliefs, worldviews, convictions?

What? Do you think that a Mormon-turned-Christian automatically fully embraces 100% Christian beliefs, attitudes, convictions? What? No carry-over effects -- including one being the lack of urgency to deliver the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world?

No, I asked it of you, because you are the one freaking out about it. So what if the Mormons have your relatives' names? Are you afraid?

Creepy is in the eye of the beholder. Should I stop drinking my Savior’s blood because someone finds it “creepy” and asks me to stop?

Like so many things having to do with Mormonism, the theology is bizarre, but they do mean well. As one of the original posters said, there is no harm done and nothing is intended except to “help.”

Do I understand this correctly?

Short answer? (No)

Is this a liberal Jew somehow making fun of another’s religion - after first lamenting the holocaust?

So, if someone religiously belittles the very identity of your grandparents; and you happen to publicly object to that, you're the "bigoted" one? Is that -- with much gall -- what you're claiming here?

Ya know, there are some Utah communities where 85% or more are Mormon. So let's take Mormonism out of it for a moment and do a parallel consideration.

Let's say...
...Scientologists believed in dead-dunking people -- to make them post-death Scientologists;
...you lived in a town that was 85% Scientologists;
...and your uncle was a Roman Catholic bishop targeted for Scientology conversion post death via dead-dunking.

After the dead-dunking, tell us...what do you think...knowing that 85% of the town thinks -- identity-wise -- of your Roman Catholic bishop uncle as a converted Scientologist?

After all, didn't the author of this article state: ...they believe in choice, stipulating that any dead person can refuse to be baptized — but so far they'd heard no objections.

To any Scientologist in my parallel example -- or to any Mormon -- why would ANY dead person object to the Mormon gospel post-death? (After all, who's heard ANY "objections?")

To hear tell it from the Mormons, why the signers of the Declaration of Independence even appeared to the same Lds "prophet" who began to put the breaks on polygamy -- and begged him and other Mormons to dead-dunk them!!!
See Lds Temple Haunted? Did Declaration of Independence signers appear as ghosts to leader? [Vanity]

If THEY are begging for dead-dunking...hey, why would any person -- Jew or otherwise -- turn down such a "choice?"

For Mitt Romney and the average Mormon, forget about our founding fathers being "Christian" in helping to establish a "Christian" nation. Hey, to Mormons, "Christians" are abominable creed-adhering corrupt apostates. Why, Lds "prophet" Wilford Woodruff and his cronies ensured that our founding fathers were Mormon...all via dead-dunking!

If it's any consolation, the Saints have also reportedly dead-dunked Hitler (sealing him in eternal celestial marriage to Eva), and Gobbles, and Goering, and Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao. Without question, heaven will be a truly delightsome place.

does my grandfather need to have his body snatched so he can be redeemed in a Kingdom of God he never wanted to enter?

According to the teaching of Bishop Romney's church ... YES!

And [the Mormon Church has] never explained why they perform this necrophiliac aberration ...

... and lemmings have never explained why they jump off cliffs.

You’re the one who posted this thread and have been filling it with paranoia about the Mormons knowing the names of your ancestors.

Just own it.

I’m perfectly calm. Just amused at what gets people all excited.

So tell me truly, does my grandfather need to have his body snatched so he can be redeemed in a Kingdom of God he never wanted to enter?

Of COURSE!!

Yer grampah may have NEVER had a chance to accept the salvation that JESUS paid the price for.

And, we LOYAL members of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints are the ONLY ones who can offer post-mortem telling of the Gospel to our (your) dearly departed.
