ACTS 2:14-47 14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven and addressed them in a loud voice: 'Men of Judaea, and all you who live in Jerusalem, make no mistake about this, but listen carefully to what I say.
15 These men are not drunk, as you imagine; why, it is only the third hour of the day.
16 On the contrary, this is what the prophet was saying:
17 In the last days -- the Lord declares -- I shall pour out my Spirit on all humanity. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your young people shall see visions, your old people dream dreams.
18 Even on the slaves, men and women, shall I pour out my Spirit.
19 I will show portents in the sky above and signs on the earth below.
20 The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the day of the Lord comes, that great and terrible Day.
21 And all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
22 'Men of Israel, listen to what I am going to say: Jesus the Nazarene was a man commended to you by God by the miracles and portents and signs that God worked through him when he was among you, as you know.
23 This man, who was put into your power by the deliberate intention and foreknowledge of God, you took and had crucified and killed by men outside the Law.
24 But God raised him to life, freeing him from the pangs of Hades; for it was impossible for him to be held in its power since,
25 as David says of him: I kept the Lord before my sight always, for with him at my right hand nothing can shake me.
26 So my heart rejoiced my tongue delighted; my body, too, will rest secure,
27 for you will not abandon me to Hades or allow your holy one to see corruption.
28 You have taught me the way of life, you will fill me with joy in your presence.
29 'Brothers, no one can deny that the patriarch David himself is dead and buried: his tomb is still with us.
30 But since he was a prophet, and knew that God had sworn him an oath to make one of his descendants succeed him on the throne,
31 he spoke with foreknowledge about the resurrection of the Christ: he is the one who was not abandoned to Hades, and whose body did not see corruption.
32 God raised this man Jesus to life, and of that we are all witnesses.
33 Now raised to the heights by God's right hand, he has received from the Father the Holy Spirit, who was promised, and what you see and hear is the outpouring of that Spirit.
34 For David himself never went up to heaven, but yet he said: The Lord declared to my Lord, take your seat at my right hand,
35 till I have made your enemies your footstool.
36 'For this reason the whole House of Israel can be certain that the Lord and Christ whom God has made is this Jesus whom you crucified.'
37 Hearing this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, 'What are we to do, brothers?'
38 'You must repent,' Peter answered, 'and every one of you must be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 The promise that was made is for you and your children, and for all those who are far away, for all those whom the Lord our God is calling to himself.'
40 He spoke to them for a long time using many other arguments, and he urged them, 'Save yourselves from this perverse generation.'
41 They accepted what he said and were baptised. That very day about three thousand were added to their number.
42 These remained faithful to the teaching of the apostles, to the brotherhood, to the breaking of bread and to the prayers.
43 And everyone was filled with awe; the apostles worked many signs and miracles.
44 And all who shared the faith owned everything in common;
45 they sold their goods and possessions and distributed the proceeds among themselves according to what each one needed.
46 Each day, with one heart, they regularly went to the Temple but met in their houses for the breaking of bread; they shared their food gladly and generously;
47 they praised God and were looked up to by everyone. Day by day the Lord added to their community those destined to be saved.

This is a political website. Let’s keep it to that, eh?
And this is posted in the Religion Forum. If you do not wish to see Religious posts do not click ‘everything’ on the side.
That said, I wish the OP would post other things more often or in other threads. These are all I see of this poster that I recall.
It’s a conservative website with a religion forum.
But, I do agree that simply posting scripture doesn’t really have a point. We have Bibles and we can read. Make a statement and support it with scripture, but don’t just post scripture. I won’t go as far as to call it “Jesus spam” because everything you get from Jesus is the finest cuts of real meat.

I only pressed under the RELIGION part. This is more than a political website. The choices are more than that.
It would definitely serve a person that doesnt want to read about religion to not go under the religious part. That would easily stop the thought that its spam. it would stop worry. It would stop any stress.
Also, dont forget ( and many others dont forget), it’s a public forum. Public forum. Oops. Public forum. So, under the categories listed, we are allowed to, supposed, and have the right to send messages in those respected places.
I would definitely see the issue if I was in an Activism, Politics, or Sports area of this site. But, I always press under religion.
Anyways. Glad to hear you say that you are a Christian.

AMEN! I am glad GOD did not make me judmental, because definitely from that title once can assume alot ( I say that from reactions I always see here! LOL!!).
I like the words to the song. As I realize through the spiritual body that everyone feels JESUS through the words and expressions they learn ( till the WORD becomes sown in their hearts and minds).
Great expression by this man in the song with the words he has at his disposal.

Thanks for the support.
As far as posting other things? Sometimes I do. But, usually I will post it together with the spiritual message so that people dont lose focus on HIM.
As this is all is HIS no matter how it’s here on this earth.
But I can easily have other conversations on anything else. GOD has me aware on many “ worldly” levels and spiritual levels; and has for many years in my life.
Learning process is hard and easy at the same time!! LOL!!
Enjoying it more and more daily, because it all makes sense.
I would talk more in other subjects, but that’s not my point in being here. Thats why I stay in my lane here which is in the Religon forum.

I spend most of my time on the religion forum - discussing Mormonism (see my tagline). But I also post in political threads, chat threads, and other areas.
The thing is we have SO many who post spiritual vanities and pimp their religion blogs that frankly it annoys people. We have Jed with his ‘prophetic rantings’ we had Frank Broom with his ‘name it and claim it’ and we have had other who just posted random scripture.
This is also a political forum, not just a religion forum Perhaps you would be taken more seriously if you expanded your conversation to more than your unmarked vanity posts.
I’m not trying to be harsh, I’m trying to get you cut some slack. The RF is a rough corner of FR.
I read the scripture that was posted and found it to be a blessing.

Since a child people’s opinions never bothered me. I thank GOD for that!
I find beauty in opinions, comments, and various things people do with words. For me words can cut if a person is sensitive.
I love everyone, but I’m definitely not sensitive. There’s a big difference between the two.
If you weigh the scale. There’s less scripture and spiritual based things on this site. Even in the Religion section. So I, in the Religion section. I stick to religion.
If bible scriptures bother a Christian or catholic ( which I usually choose in the post), then that would be odd. But I wouldn’t be effected either way.
Once in a blue I will put out a message with a bible scripture to Judaism or Muslim; rarely anything else. So, again I agree with all this if I was sending bible passages in other forums.
But I have said here before that I will give answers but always back it with the WORD. Especially on a RELIGION forum.
If people come after me with comments. It is expected, as Jesus and the prophets warned. So, I’m not surprised. Its expected.
Your concern is appreciated considering you might have thought this “ slack” would have been bothering me.
But, hey!! If you knew where I was from!! Lol!! If this is “ slack”’ then I’ve heard worse in an old folks home. Lol! Seriously though!!
Can only imagine all that Jesus heard and felt. That definitely would bother me. But praise the LORD that HE took care of that for me! ALLELUIA!!

This seems so lost by so many who believe in faith without works. Self examination is the key to unlock spiritual growth. Repentance precedes faith. Without it, redemption and salvation are impossible.
AMEN! To reach the love for everyone point of life, one must repent. There is no other way to attain it.
