Please read below:

Please pray the LORD's PRAYER and please read:

ACTS 23:12-35

12 When it was day, the Jews held a secret meeting at which they made a vow not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.

13 More than forty of them entered this pact,

14 and they went to the chief priests and elders and told them, 'We have made a solemn vow to let nothing pass our lips until we have killed Paul.

15 Now it is up to you and the Sanhedrin together to apply to the tribune to bring him down to you, as though you meant to examine his case more closely; we, on our side, are prepared to dispose of him before he reaches you.'

16 But the son of Paul's sister heard of the ambush they were laying and made his way into the fortress and told Paul,

17 who called one of the centurions and said, 'Take this young man to the tribune; he has something to tell him.'

18 So the man took him to the tribune, and reported, 'The prisoner Paul summoned me and requested me to bring this young man to you; he has something to tell you.'

19 Then the tribune took him by the hand and drew him aside and questioned him in private, 'What is it you have to tell me?'

20 He replied, 'The Jews have made a plan to ask you to take Paul down to the Sanhedrin tomorrow, as though they meant to enquire more closely into his case.

21 Do not believe them. There are more than forty of them lying in wait for him, and they have vowed not to eat or drink until they have got rid of him. They are ready now and only waiting for your order to be given.'

22 The tribune let the young man go with this order, 'Tell no one that you have given me this information.'

23 Then he summoned two of the centurions and said, 'Get two hundred soldiers ready to leave for Caesarea by the third hour of the night with seventy cavalry and two hundred auxiliaries;

24 provide horses for Paul, and deliver him unharmed to Felix the governor.'

25 He also wrote a letter in these terms:

26 'Claudius Lysias to his Excellency the governor Felix, greetings.

27 This man had been seized by the Jews and would have been murdered by them; but I came on the scene with my troops and got him away, having discovered that he was a Roman citizen.

28 Wanting to find out what charge they were making against him, I brought him before their Sanhedrin.

29 I found that the accusation concerned disputed points of their Law, but that there was no charge deserving death or imprisonment.

30 Acting on information that there was a conspiracy against the man, I hasten to send him to you, and have notified his accusers that they must state their case against him in your presence.'

31 The soldiers carried out their orders; they took Paul and escorted him by night to Antipatris.

32 Next day they left the mounted escort to go on with him and returned to the fortress.

33 On arriving at Caesarea the escort delivered the letter to the governor and handed Paul over to him.

34 When he had read it, he asked Paul what province he came from. Learning that he was from Cilicia he said,

35 'I will hear your case as soon as your accusers are here too.' Then he ordered him to be held in Herod's praetorium.

PRAISE JESUS!

Good post and timely -- but more than "great," God is LOVE, as it says in the Good Book. I like the observation youaskedforit made on a thread about three weeks ago:

Of course God is the Greatest... That to me is a tautology, like saying “Camembert is a Cheese”... or “rain is wet”... even atheists say the Bang was Big.
The problem (for the Muslims) is that God is Love. And in all things it is THAT God, the God of Love which makes man small and ultimately reasonable.
Put it to the test. Say you’re pissed off, and you lose it and start hitting somebody. Bam! Bam! Bam!
What will restore reason quicker? Repeating “God is Great” or “God is Love”?
Ever wonder why Muslims are in the habit of mauling already dead bodies while still chanting “God is Great?”

LOVE TO ALL! GOD IS GREAT! Believers will go through tests, but no worries.

12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14 We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. 15 As has just been said:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion.”

16 Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17 And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? 19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

NO WORRIES?

The tests come from the evil one, the devil.

Pray.

When you put ‘Pray’ I thought to look up the word “pray” in the online Bible concordance. Amazing results of pray in scripture. Amen!!

There is definitely no worries when one walks in faith.

As far as the devil testing? No, he tempts us.
But here is something also:

Psalms 11:5
5 Yahweh examines the upright and the wicked, the lover of violence he detests.

Daniel 12:10
10 Many will be cleansed, made white and purged; the wicked will persist in doing wrong; the wicked will never understand; those who are wise will understand.

Provers 3:11-12
11 My child, do not scorn correction from Yahweh, do not resent his reproof;

12 for Yahweh reproves those he loves, as a father the child whom he loves.

Proverbs 17:3
3 A furnace for silver, a foundry for gold, but Yahweh for the testing of hearts!

Matthew 7:24-27
24 ‘Therefore, everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock.

25 Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and hurled themselves against that house, and it did not fall: it was founded on rock.

26 But everyone who listens to these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand.

27 Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and struck that house, and it fell; and what a fall it had!’

HEBREWS 12:5-11
5 Have you forgotten that encouraging text in which you are addressed as sons? My son, do not scorn correction from the Lord, do not resent his training,

6 for the Lord trains those he loves, and chastises every son he accepts.

7 Perseverance is part of your training; God is treating you as his sons. Has there ever been any son whose father did not train him?

8 If you were not getting this training, as all of you are, then you would be not sons but bastards.

9 Besides, we have all had our human fathers who punished us, and we respected them for it; all the more readily ought we to submit to the Father of spirits, and so earn life.

10 Our human fathers were training us for a short life and according to their own lights; but he does it all for our own good, so that we may share his own holiness.

11 Of course, any discipline is at the time a matter for grief, not joy; but later, in those who have undergone it, it bears fruit in peace and uprightness.

Devil tempts us.
GOD trains us, tests us, molds us, and brings us to new heights in faith.

There is a major difference.

AMEN! Thanks for your compliment.
However you correct it, as long as it works for you, that is fine. Honestly, there is no word to describe GOD for me. English doesnt have the word for what GOD does in my heart. But, this is mostly an english speaking website, so, this is the language I use ( but no other language has it either :)

As far as the GOOD BOOK, GOD is:
“ Glorious “
“ Greatness”
“ Love”
“ Alleluia”
“ King of Kings”
“ The great I am”
“ THe Almighty”
“ Creator”, and called many many more beautiful, great, and loving names....... How HE makes each one of us feel is what HE does to our hearts. That’s personal.
Glad to see how HE makes you feel. No wonderful word is greater or better to explain our GOD ( yet we may feel so on personal opinions!). No worries. Worship is best!).

As far as the comment on the Muslims?? I am very, very, very strong a believer in CHRIST. But, I have friends from other religions.
On TV ( which I dont really watch that much at all), when I pass buy a store that may have one. I hear people ( news or some media related thing)mentioning that Muslims always say, “ GOD is GREAT!”, then bomb something.

But, interestingly, funny, and honestly. The ones I know that worship say, “ Allah is love!!”. Thats from France, throughout the USA and more..
Same for when I was in Turkey and was going to one of the only churches in the area that was gated off. It was the only church there. It was a Catholic Church. I went there every day to pray.
I would just talk to the Muslims there about CHRIST and minister through walk and WORD. Always showing love of Christ where ever I went.
Leaving the country with some people saying, “ yes Allah!”. Asking me if I was Muslim, and at the time, I would just say, “ no, I am Christian.”, and they would just smile.
I never had any problem out there. Even after discussions with many who didnt agree with being Christians. They still sat and ate with me, and there was never a problem. I was there for 2 weeks.

HEard about bombings and all. Heard! Heard. heard. Even saw the tanks and all. But issues? Nope.

I realize many put issues on themselves. For whatever reason, people love to “ mix it up!”.

LOVE is an easy word to say and a harder word to live.

PRAISE JESUS!

Who says HE may not already be here and picking HIS chosen one by one.
That would be “ the thief in the night”, yes??
Many are expecting the “ eyes like fire feet ablaze” CHRIST to come. Yet, HE will be a thief in the night for those not worshipping from the heart.
For those worshipping from the heart, then, they will just be caught doing the Master’s will. Which is nothing bad to be caught doing. The Master will be happy to see this.

HE wont be a “ thief in the night” for a person that leaves their “ temple “ door open.

When the faith gets to that level, then, it doesnt matter when HE is coming. With faith like that, we can perservere till whenever the time is.

Pray for all and love all.

PRAISE JESUS!
