Thank you Pastor Bill.
thanks for posting this.

Once upon a time it may have been a different sort of story but it's used to pass on religious beliefs and moral precepts now.
last I looked the folks who get doctorates in studying such matters, people were using footwear for at least the last 100,000 years ~ and may have been using clothing of some sort even earlier.
The lesson? (1) Mosquitos, cold weather, dust storms ~ they all conspire to encourage the higher critters, e.g. all the tribes of man, to put on their jackets! (2) Choose durable materials!
I’ve been given a very rough time on FR in the past, for saying that animals were not originally placed here for food and clothing.
Thank you for going into greater detail. Your writing has grown and improved since you joined us. This is eloquent.
thanks everybody, even you Johnny!
If it gets really cold? maybe... in bed? no.
In the summer? oh hell no.

I don’t get what you are talking about Johnny.
He’s probably been nippin’ at Grandpa’s hooch.
Jesus, in his first two miracles, gave us a clue, with the feeding of the masses and the water into wine.

But Jesus loves me.

And what did he tell her?
/johnny
Tell us more of how you experienced God, alone on that mountain in a blizzard, when you nearly died.
What was He like?
And he didn't tell me to quit feeding folks.
How's that meet your approval?
/johnny
Not looking for approval or to approve. Just wanting to know more about your experience; you mentioned it sort of cryptically the other night.
As far as any concern about bloggers, this was posted in it’s entirety to FR, so I really don’t see how advantage is being taken, of anyone.
So few people even bother to understand Genesis outside a few stray, almost cartoonish (mis)perceptions. I for one appreciated his going into greater detail. It’s not as if much of the rest of the Bible doesn’t hinge upon Genesis.
It does.
This is lovely, thank you! I just watched “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” a couple nights ago (cried the whole way through it ;)) and this writing of yours reminds me of the “Deep Magic” as explained by the witch at the slaying of Aslan (the story is a sort of allegory of Christ for whoever is unfamiliar with it). So it’s so nice to go back to it in your writing and get another layer of meaning added, thanks! :)
I slipped on a ledge covered in ice. (I knew the ledge was there, not the ice). And landed on a pointy rock on my left side, nuking my kidney (gutshot deer was how the doc refered to it), my spleen, 3 ribs and one vert.
And then... I got to lay there because no-one knew where I had gone.
Later, after everyone had gone, and it was quiet, and the moon came out... I did have a talk with Jesus on my way in and out of lucidity.
Our talk was our talk.
Later... I got some help. And it worked out ok.
