I'm not seeking anything - and if I were - the catechism is the last place anyone seeking TRUTH would seek. You asked the question, I told you where to find the answer.
Did you makeup the man made teachings catholics follow? NO.
Why don't you just admit that you know nothing about Holy Scripture?
,/i>So why the insistence of victimhood with your denigrate someone else.
I'm not anyone's victim. I am child of God, saved by Christ Jesus the crucified and Risen Son of the Living and Eternal Almighty, and if you think that's a man-made teaching, it certainly exposes your thoughts for all to see.
And it certainly APPEARS AS THOUGH you are trying to start a fight. Perhaps I am mistaken, and you are merely looking for a discussion of your own beliefs, in a thread about something else entirely. You may find that others are not interested.

I don’t care if it becomes a mosque. I have a feeling the entire structure is going to collapse someday, perhaps in an earthquake.

Why don't you just admit that God's Word is not considered the Final Authority with the RCC. No catholic wants to admit it even though the world knows it.

You may be surprised to learn that I have given up wrestling with pigs, although I used to do that. I have no desire to get muddy, although it does seem that the pigs enjoy it. ;-D God bless and keep you, fellow FReeper.

Why don't you, pnsm admit that your cult doesn't even consider Jesus Christ to be God?
Cults that do that are cropping up fairly often these days.

pnsm, isn’t it a fact that your cult believes that neither Jesus nor the Holy SPirit is God? That both are created beings and the first is just a prophet?

God's Word IS The Final Authority - any other teaching is man-made and NULLIFIES HIS WORDWe Christians believe that God's Word is the Bible. The Koran is not God's word.

Not a big surprise. If one just tracks the remarks made by cultists who hide their cult, you can see statements like:
1. The Apostles were not blessed because they saw Jesus
2. The Bible was distorted by men
3. God is God and Jesus is not
4. God created Jesus and the Holy Spirit
No wonder cultists hide whatever cult they are from -- notice that there is never any talk of what they themselves believe in, only attacks against Christianity. Never a word breathed about what they believe.....

The same cultists will pop up on every thread, spew their venom and when refuted and proven to be false, will slink away and then a few days later repeat the same procedure on another thread to another person.
It's the old tactic...

Thanks. Now, can we get back to the topic? Is the Diocese of Orange SERIOUSLY considering bidding for the Crystal Cathedral? Because I seriously think it’s going to collapse in an earthquake.
I’d much rather see them build a smaller structure that is earthquake hardened...just my 2 centd.

Here’s what I found on wikipedia:
Construction on the Crystal Cathedral began in 1977 and was completed in 1980, built at a cost of $18 million.[9][10] The signature rectangular panes of glass comprising the building are not bolted to the structure; they are glued to it using a silicone-based glue. This and other measures are intended to allow the building to withstand an earthquake of magnitude 8.0.[2]
I say BS to withstanding a mag 8.0 earthquake.

I think even if it doesn't collapse, it's an incredibly ugly building. There is one incredibly ugly Church in Warsaw called Św. Zygmunta
The only good thing I can say about this is that it's not completely (not completely!) as ugly as the Crystal Cat --> are there a lot of Catholics in the area to justify adding this monstrosity?

Forget an earthquake, what if they get a choir singer who wants to hit a high pitch? ♫ ♫

The flute stops on the five-rank organ might have done that...or some of the huge pipes...Truthfully, though, I don’t think that the silicon glue will keep those glass panes from shattering in a bad earthquake.
Time for me to go to sleep. Thanks all for the interesting thoughts about the CC. I sure hope Catholics do NOT buy it.

actually, from what I read elsewhere, the diocese needs a cathedral but only has early plans to build. They can buy the Crystal Cathedral for half the amount to build a new church.
I was surprised at the low asking price myself, especially in California. So I say they should buy it...

the catechism is the last place anyone seeking TRUTH would seek Self-evidently, someone honestly seeking the TRUTH about what the Catholic Church teaches ought to go first to the catechism, not to the lies perpetrated by self-anointed "ministers of God," who are not, but are ministers of Satan.
You are not that someone. As you yourself say, you are not seeking after anything ... including the truth.

It might survive an 8.0 quake but it can’t withstand 3 egos (dad, son and daughter).

Does the RCC teach Gods Word is The FINAL Authority? Let's begin with a scriptural reference for that question, and go from there.

Still hard to admit that the RCC teaches God’s Word is NOT the Final Authority, I see.
