Were he to misunderstand a question, or were a casual remark to be taken out of context…well, that was a risk Franklin didn’t want to take.

At least one person understands how the press operates. The lamestream would love to damage this guys legacy and with Billy's age and health it would be easy to trip him up on gotchas. Franklin has every right to put a stop to it despite this writers whining.

I guess that very few figures have accomplished what Billy Graham has, aside from Jesus, has anyone else introduced Christ to more people?

I think it is odd that Billy Graham is not a giant among all the historical figures that have existed, he doesn’t even get much recognition in his own time compared to celebrities, Popes, Mother Theresa, televangelists, Politicians, Dictators, etc.

he doesn’t even get much recognition in his own time

None of the Gospel greats get recognition when they die... Jerry Falwell, Dr. James Kennedy, Dottie Rambo, David Wilkerson, Oral Roberts, Adrian Rogers. All received barely a blip on the scrolling news feeds. Actually not much was said about Mother Theresa. The media was more consumed about her relationship with Lady Di.

The adage "This world is not my home, I'm just a passin' says it all.

But Graham is so much larger than all of them, close to 3 million people physically stepped forward at his crusades, billions more were asked to come to Christ on his televised crusades, of which tens of millions, perhaps hundreds of millions must have accepted.

Has any man planted more seed than the Reverend Billy Graham?

** guess that very few figures have accomplished what Billy Graham has**

Aren’t you forgetting the Popes of the Catholic Church? They have brought far more to Christianity than he has. Look at the numbers.

I think you forgot something: “So the last will be first, and the first last.” Matthew 20:16.

But Graham is so much larger than all of them

Billy Graham didn't evangelize the world for compliments. He did it for the glory of God.

He will get his rewards when he goes to heaven. I believe he would rather have Jesus tell him, "Well done, faithful servant, than accolades from the media.

In God's eyes the Sunday School teachers, the volunteers at homeless shelter's, those who are loving to their neighbors are as great as Billy Graham. We are all a part of the body of Christ.

Franklin—who’s been accused of being a rhetorical and theological bully, saying, for example, that Islam is “wicked and evil”—

...Well, it IS wicked and evil.

Pride: the adversary of Holy Spirit.

Just trying to take a look at the facts. Nothing about my pride is involved here.

Now if you are talking about “pride” in reference to what is going on in poor Billy Graham’s family — yes, that is an appropriate label for the fracas.

If pride weren't involved, you wouldn't have felt compelled to 'correct the record.'

I wasn’t speaking for Billy Graham, I was expressing my interests in how the American media and culture treat him, my interest is how that deliberate oversight is part of how the liberals control things and affect us and our perceptions.

Liberals control things and affect us and our perceptions because for many years the majority of Conservatives were silent on the issues. We're playing catch-up.

Unfortunately the majority of Conservatives continue to be silent on the issues.

As Pontius Pilate asked Jesus Christ, “What is truth?”

As Pontius Pilate asked Jesus Christ, “What is truth?”

The truth is if we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is the Christ, we will be saved.

We believe in one God, one Savior, one Holy Spirit.

Jesus prayer to the Father was that the world would see us as one, and that the world would know us by our love.

We are to shine the light of truth upon the world for the glory of God.
