OT, but yes, repeal the 17th and the 16th and we'll be able to reign in the Federal Nobility pretty quick.

Regards

I think I’ll get my moral and religious advice from somebody who can keep it in his pants, thank you very much.

You sure you’re responding to the right guy?

I simply said what gingrich is saying now in 2011 has been said since the 1960s up to now by a myriad of other people. Including me and probably you.

It’s a “No Kidding” kind of thing. No kidding, Newt. It’s not like now in 2011 we haven’t figured it out and have been saying that since it started way back then.

Newt it seems failed to read fifty years of warnings, red alerts, cautions, emergency flashers, trumpet calls, general and specific books and sermons detailing the attack on Christianity and the Judeo/Christian culture for the last fifty to sixty years.

Some of the late comers were too busy labeling as Kooks and Crackpots the very people who were telling the truth and whose dire warnings were exactly right.

Those truth tellers were the 'so-called' right wing religious folks whose view points best match the traditional American culture we all inherited from two four hundred years of American descendants.

I wonder why Christ bothered if only those who had never sin are supposed to find faith in Him.

The lost sheep are just stuck out there amongst the wolves cause they don’t deserve a Shepherd to search for them.

I thought we were supposed to rejoice when the lost sheep returned to the sheepfold. I guess not.

I have never met so many so called Christians who do not believe in the power of Jesus’s forgiveness of sins.

Gingrich’s ex-wife is still alive.

How do you know this? Have you read his mind? There is something wrong with Christians being so cynical and not believing that a person’s faith is genuine. Catholic or not I believe Christ has the power to change men’s hearts. Even Newt Gingrich’s.

No doubt if he had been a true believer Newt would not have converted to Catholicism. Only those who want to be beloved by the world and advance in politics choose the Catholic Church. It could not possibly be sincere.
Only those who join non Catholic Christian sects are sincere and have had their sins forgiven. sarc.

Was it after cheated on his first wife or his second wife that we became obligated to believe that he was truly penitent?

I certainly believe there are no souls for whom salvation and forgiveness are out of reach. Furthermore, I don't begrudge Newt's observations or comments in the context of his past actions and I'll even take him at his word that his repentence is sincere.

My only criticism is that Newt is billed as a highly intelligent, insightful and scholarly man who can come up with no better remarks than a restatement of what has been so clearly obvious to so many for so long.

It would be like selling tickets to a heavily advertised and much anticipated presentation by Neil Armstrong only to have him step up to the lectern and affirm that the moon is not, in fact, made of green cheese.

When one joins the Church you are required to make a confession of your sins.

So, then, no Catholic is capable of further sin? Wow.

I wish it were more obvious. I hate that our culture is in the clutches of the enemy. But maybe that also brings about a more fervent faith.

I see. (You really have no rational basis for believing that Mr. Gingrich’s past behavior isn’t prologue for his future behavior, now do you.)

He's right.

But understanding comes 2 wives 2 late for Newt.
