It doesn’t help when so-called “Christians” like Gingrich, leave their wife on their death bed. People tend to get cynical when they see things like that.

This would have a greater impact were it to come from someone other than a serial adulterer.

Creeping secularism replacing Christianity Gingrich would know about popular culture replacing Christian vows.

Those darned elites. Pretty soon we will have people dumping one wife after another. Glad that Newt is on this.

"It doesnt help when so-called Christians like Gingrich, leave their wife on their death bed." You have to be a saint to make cultural observations? Let's just shut down FR.

Isn’t it time for you to cheat on your wife again, Newt?
I hope the religious types don’t fall for this guy’s hollow rhetoric.

Well if anyone should know that it would be old Newt that committed adultery at will, and left a sick wife .
He is a carnal secular man ...stop playing games Newt...
Take that log out of your eye

I'm just thankful that the merciful Jesus will be my judge and not Freepers. There's plenty in my past too, of which I'm now greatly ashamed.
Preach it, Newt.

Man, talk about a transparent attempt to suck up to all the fundie Christians. Who would have thought, a sleaze ball politician discovers religion just around the time he’s looking to run for office. Hasn’t happened before has it?
Overall I’d say this is one of the lamer attempts to suck up to an important special interest group that I’ve seen.
To: GonzoII
This has been going on since the 1960s and pointed out repeatedly since then.

Talk about Holier-than-Thou comments. What makes you think he hasn't sought (and received) God's forgiveness and grace?I'm glad to see there are so many on here who are sinless and ready to cast that first stone...

It’s nice to know there are so many folks around here who not only walk on water, but don’t even get the soles of their loafers damp while doing so. Newt seems to have repented and headed in a different direction. Unfortunately, he didn’t roll in the floor and babble at the right tent meeting to please some. He could have just role played the way many loudmouths who always manage to live on the dime of the faithful have after their adultery and serial marriages, then some of those throwing stones would be calling him an example of what turning to Christ can do.
