Thank you for removing the post(s). I felt that the post was personal, and was surprised the it was even posted. I also felt that it was an impertinent response to the topic/OP, which you also acknowledged.

Once again, thank you.

Amazing that those LDS practicing their faith are morally faithful if what you said was true than the fruit would be rotten but is it not rotten!

Many can try to paint Joseph Smith in their sick mental image yet as a servant of the Lord…

The Restoration that Jesus Christ restored through the Lord’s anointed prophet Joseph Smith is going strong and Zion continues to grow al over of the face of the earth!

I thank the Lord every day that I found the true Church of Jesus Christ in these latter days

What a blessing for all who appreciate it members or non member!

LOL, you are one of our greatest resources resty! You and your buds provide great examples of mormon thought processes and how to obfuscate the historical facts (as well as the mythological 'facts') of mormonism.

No, not faith.

It may be faith in a work of fiction that is the problem.

Resty, you try that same ruse almost daily. It's time for you to read a few of the heretical teachings from your peepstone divination sexual-predator-of-married-woment conman prophet, Joseph Smith. When you read these direct quotes from LDS archive resources, see if these line up with what your ideao f Christinaity (restored or not) actually is:

In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and people it. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 5, 1844)

Smith's worldview of time as it pertains to the gods: Smith believed in a "beginning" that was operative before the Mormon plan to the create this world. The question becomes, who is the head of the Gods as pertains to this ‘council of gods?

In the very beginning the Bible shows there is a plurality of Gods beyond the power of refutation. It is a great subject I am dwelling on. The word Eloheim ought to be in the plural all the way through--Gods. The heads of the Gods appointed ONE God for us... (Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 372)

According to Smith's worldview, "the heads of the Gods appointed one God for us." Smith is making a BIG deal about Eloheim=plurality of gods. A Mormon apologist like the restornu doesn't know this? They don't teach this in Seminary or Institute or Sunday School classes? Why not? Or is it that this is not taught because it is too far in left field? Perhaps Mormonism is ‘evolving‘.

Whatever "time frame" or eternity is chosen, only ONE GOD was chosen by a plurality of gods. It doesn't say a plurality of gods was chosen by a plurality of gods. Therefore, no Mormon godhead existed when the council chose the Mormon one god! Apparently, the godhead of god the father, god the holy spirit, and god the jesus developed later .

The convolutions/confusions are rife in Mormonism. Despite the above teaching, LDS leader, Bruce McConkie, taught that lds worship 3 gods: "Three separate personages-Father, Son and holy Ghost- comprise the Godhead…these three are the only Gods we worship."(Mormon Doctrine 1966 ed. P.576-577).

I will go back to the beginning, before the world was, to show what kind of a being God is. What sort of a being was God in the beginning? Open your ears and hear, all ye ends of the earth; for I am going to prove it to you by the Bible, and to tell you the designs of God in relation to the human race, and why he interferes with the affairs of man. God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted Man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. That is the great secret. (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 3, 1844)

Whatever is taken by Smith as the ’beginning’, the Alpha point, Smith says god was a man ... and Smith's meaning for 'eternities' must be different from the rest of humankind since eternity has no beginning or end. Smith's notion of the Momron god is "That he "was once as we are now." We already know from the above quote that the godhead came even after the Mormon god was appointed. The Mormon god was no godhead in the beginning Smith portrays, yet John’s Gospel starts with the Word, Jesus, was with God and was God in the beginning.

“I learned a testimony concerning Abraham, and he reasoned concerning the Gods of heaven. '...Intelligences exist one above another, so that there is no end to them.' If Abraham reasoned thus--If Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and John discovered that God the Father of Jesus Christ had a Father, you may suppose that He had a Father also. Where was there ever a son without a father? And where was there ever a father without first being a son? Whenever did a tree or anything spring into existence without a progenitor? And everything comes in this way. Paul says that which is earthly is in the likeness of that which is heavenly. Hence if Jesus had a Father, can we not believe that He had a Father also? I despise the idea of being scared to death at such a doctrine, for the Bible is full of it. I want you to pay particular attention to what I am saying. Jesus said that the Father wrought precisely in the same way as His Father had done before Him. As the Father had done before? He laid down His life, and took it up the same as His Father had done before. (Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 373)

Resty, how much of that rot is fundamental belief for a devout Mormon? Is Mormonism a from of Christianity when the god of Momronism is not the I AM of the Bible, when the god of Mormonism was once a man, when the jesus of Mormonism was sired as the brother of satan and gained the attributes of godhood rather than being with God and Was God in the Beginning? Read the first few verses of John's Gospel, the eyewitness testimony of one who walked and ate with The Christ and wants you to know GOD IS and His name is I AM, and He became flesh and dwelt among us.

Hardly. You “defenders” are our greatest asset. You do more to expose the fraud of Mormonism that 100 so called “antis”

The reason any are banned is because they spit in the face of the powers that be here mainly over the Mitt wit or just being plain stupid, not over trying to “defend” lds doctrine...

Uh...

You cannot 'ban' what doesn't exist.

We LOVE having you folks come on FR and tell about your wonderful chosen religion.

That way we can tell the world what is WRONG with it compared to CHRISTIANITY.

THE
DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
SECTION 89
Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Kirtland, Ohio, February 27, 1833. HC 1: 327–329. As a consequence of the early brethren using tobacco in their meetings, the Prophet was led to ponder upon the matter; consequently he inquired of the Lord concerning it. This revelation, known as the Word of Wisdom, was the result. The first three verses were originally written as an inspired introduction and description by the Prophet.

1–9, Use of wine, strong drinks, tobacco, and hot drinks proscribed; 10–17, Herbs, fruits, flesh, and grain are ordained for the use of man and of animals; 18–21, Obedience to gospel law, including the Word of Wisdom, brings temporal and spiritual blessings.

  1 A aWord OF Wisdom, for the benefit of the council of high priests, assembled in Kirtland, and the church, and also the saints in Zion—
  2 To be sent greeting; not by commandment or constraint, but by revelation and the aword of wisdom, showing forth the order and bwill of God in the temporal salvation of all saints in the last days—
  3 Given for a principle with apromise, adapted to the capacity of the bweak and the weakest of all csaints, who are or can be called saints.
  4 Behold, verily, thus saith the Lord unto you: In consequence of aevils and designs which do and will exist in the hearts of bconspiring men in the last days, I have cwarned you, and forewarn you, by giving unto you this word of wisdom by revelation—
  5 That inasmuch as any man adrinketh bwine or strong drink among you, behold it is not good, neither meet in the sight of your Father, only in assembling yourselves together to offer up your sacraments before him.
  6 And, behold, this should be wine, yea, apure wine of the grape of the vine, of your own make.
  7 And, again, astrong drinks are not for the belly, but for the washing of your bodies.
  8 And again, tobacco is not for the abody, neither for the belly, and is not good for man, but is an herb for bruises and all sick cattle, to be used with judgment and skill.
  9 And again, hot drinks are not for the body or belly.
  10 And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome aherbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man—
  11 Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with aprudence and bthanksgiving.
  12 Yea, aflesh also of bbeasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used csparingly;
  13 And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be aused, only in times of winter, or of cold, or bfamine.
  14 All agrain is ordained for the use of man and of beasts, to be the staff of life, not only for man but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild animals that run or creep on the earth;
  15 And athese hath God made for the use of man only in times of famine and excess of hunger.
  16 All grain is good for the afood of man; as also the bfruit of the vine; that which yieldeth fruit, whether in the ground or above the ground—
  17 Nevertheless, wheat for man, and corn for the ox, and oats for the horse, and rye for the fowls and for swine, and for all beasts of the field, and barley for all useful animals, and for mild drinks, as also other grain.
  18 And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, ashall receive bhealth in their navel and marrow to their bones;
  19 And shall afind bwisdom and great ctreasures of dknowledge, even hidden treasures;
  20 And shall arun and not be bweary, and shall walk and not faint.
  21 And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the adestroying angel shall bpass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them. Amen.
