Today on Fox News, Neil Cavuto interviewed a Catholic Nun who said she supports the new Government health care bill because she thinks it is what Jesus would do and would have her do.
... she said "I speak for the 50 million people in the United States that don't have access and the 45 thousand people that die every year because they can't get healthcare."
Sister Campbell went on to talk about a man who died of prostate cancer "because he didn't get care for his cancer early enough ... that's wrong, in the richest country on earth, we shouldn't let that happen."
(Note: Subtract the National Debt from the Gross Domestic Product, and the U.S. ranks among the poorest countries on earth)
... "This is a gospel issue for me, it's about Jesus saying 'care for those in need' that's all I do, it's not about the Bishops, it's not about a fight, it's caring for people in need, that's it ... what can I do? Jesus would do it, so here I am ... I try to be faithful, that's all."
Although Sister Campbell seems genuinely concerned and sincere in her desire for health care reform, based upon her remarks, she does not appear to fully understand the Biblical scripture upon which the gospel message is based ...

In one month, I’ve read stories abt old folks being left in closets in med facilities, a guy calls the POLICE to get someone in the hospital to give him some water, a woman has her husband deliver her baby in the hospital corridor because hospital staff too busy, etc.
Dear God!!!!! These “religious folk” are criminally naive if they think this approach will help people and not kill unborn babies - in the name of God, these people are misguided...!

ZeroCare will eliminate cancer screenings, anyway. It's cheaper to not find it until the person's about to die, and that way there's no cost for treatment.

While a Catholic, I dare suggest that she is nuttin but a clueless, FAR LEFT, Moonbat and though I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt, I am convinced she is a true believer in the Socialist Utopia and an Obamabot Lemming!
I don't recall in Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan that the Samaritan had to fill in government forms to give aid or was restricted by the government from paying for the victim's care himself.

so true! my father is on Medicaid and they have spent a small fortune on him this past year, but to be fair he did pay into the system a major amount of money almost all his life
