Thanks; and after reading your post it reminds me again of a true curiousity I’ve developed as to the true nature of the man that was Mohammad; what was he really all about? From what little bit I’ve read he seems to have been as much a military figure as a religious figure. Quite a curious combination though not unique.

The Arabian Peninsula at the time of Muhammad was home to several Christian and Jewish kingdoms/states. Christians and Jews had been fleeing to that region for centuries to escape from persecution from the Romans and the Persians. The first permanent cities were built by these expatriots. Muhammad and his bunch were nomadic Bedouins. Their main source of income was serving as mercenaries to both Rome and Persian in their ongoing wars. That was interrupted by a plague out of Africa and pretty much halted the need to hire mercenaries. They needed something to do and decided to go into warfare on their own. It was in this context that Mohammad announced his new religion. He told the Jews that it included prayers facing Jerusalem on Fridays and incorporated other Judeo Christian elements. The Christians and Jews told him to pound sand. It was shortly after that that he began his quest to rid Arabia of its most successful inhabitants.

Good point. It could be that Mary is only interested in saving that half! (/s)

"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins; save us from the fires of hell; Lead all souls to Heaven, Especially those in most need of Thy Mercy."

The Fatima prayer. Now that's what I'd call inclusive.

"Mary rises above the differences between Christians Catholics and Muslims," Father Apostoli said. "Both sides can go to Mary, and she becomes the link."

Mary has never been the link between me and Jesus...Only you Catholics and Muzlims...

It's apparent that your religion is far more accepting of the muzlims now days than in the past...At least publicly...Does it occur to you that maybe this apparition of Fatima is a tool to lead you away from Christianity and toward Mohammed/Izlam???

Our Lady asks these children to be a part of God's plan, he said, and we are also called to this; "the peace of the world depends on this."

Your Fatima lied to you...There is nothing you nor anyone can do to bring peace to the world...Only God can do that and He will, when He's ready and it has nothing to do with you or the muzlims...

Father Apostoli concluded, "The world is on the brink of catastrophe if we don't work for peace."

This guy is deluded...We can not avoid catastrophe...No matter what...

She is forever a "traitor," in the sense that she will not accept any devotion for herself, but will always bring anyone who is devoted to her to her divine Son.

Did this apparition tell you that???

As those who lose devotion to her lose belief in the divinity of Christ, so those who intensify devotion to her gradually acquire that belief.

This is another absolute lie...I have never had devotion to Mary, or Fatima and I attained belief in the Divinity of Jesus Christ without Mary...Is this the nonsense you guys are spewing to the muzlims???

Said with an air of absolute authority and total certitude.

So the reason the world is not at peace is because God aint ready? Any idea why? Is He busy? Or does He want us to suffer some more? Not enough blood spilled yet?

Implied in your statement is the idea that murder and mayhem don't move God, since if peace depends on Him and Him alone, and he hasn't intervened to stop the killing, he must be OK with it.

Are you sure you're not a Muslim?

Scripture, Scripture, Scripture...

Of course I (and millions of other Christians) know why...Because men have war and evil in their hearts...And because God is not done collecting his church from amongst the Gentiles...

There will be no peace until Jesus sits on His throne in Jerusalem...There will be no peace until God wipes out a few billion Arabs, Orientials, Gentiles, and any one else who opposes His chosen people the Jews...

Implied in your statement is the idea that murder and mayhem don't move God, since if peace depends on Him and Him alone, and he hasn't intervened to stop the killing, he must be OK with it.

The murder and mayhem is the byproduct of what we are...I'm sure God is not happy with it but he certainly knew it was going to happen...Even the religious kill each other off...You're not going to bring peace unless you kill everyone who disagrees with you...You'd certainly have to kill me before I'd bow down to your pope...

I agree with your statement that men have war and evil in their hearts. However, isn't that contradicting your original thesis that peace depends solely on God? It suggests two questions.

1) Is God moved by our prayers for our fellow man?

2) If He is moved, can He change the heart of man through His grace?

This is a little strange, also:

You're not going to bring peace unless you kill everyone who disagrees with you...You'd certainly have to kill me before I'd bow down to your pope...

Why is killing necessary to bring peace? Are you implying that killing is the only solution to disagreements?

Is the idea of living together in mutual respect for each other, despite our differences, too difficult for mankind?

1) Is God moved by our prayers for our fellow man?

Sure...But God knows the end...And He fortells of the end in His written words...And it doesn't include world peace without first eliminating those who oppose Him...

2) If He is moved, can He change the heart of man through His grace?

Nope...'Else Adam wouldn't have fallen...'Else God wouldn't have instituted the 10 Commandments...And He wouldn't have offered us free Salvation even tho we are fallen and do fall...

God doesn't want robots...He wants us to chose Him...

This is a little strange, also:

You're not going to bring peace unless you kill everyone who disagrees with you...You'd certainly have to kill me before I'd bow down to your pope...

Not strange at all...I am no different than those who have fallen by the Roman Catholic sword for refusing to bow to your pope...I and millions of other Christians as well as non-Christians refuse to bow to your pope, or recognize him as anything special...

Why is killing necessary to bring peace? Are you implying that killing is the only solution to disagreements?

Is the idea of living together in mutual respect for each other, despite our differences, too difficult for mankind?

Nice pipedream but history and the scriptures show us that it has never worked and never will without the intervention of God...And God will intervene, but He will not change the heart of man, He will destroy those who do not chose Him... But even without being forced into your religion at the point of a sword, there will be no mass conversion to Christianity...That's not in the cards...
