OK for 63 years, now Jesus in manger gets dumped

John Satawa's family has displayed a nativity scene on a street median in Warren, Mich., virtually every Christmas season since 1945, but following an intimidating letter sent by the Freedom from Religion Foundation, Satawa's county has put stop to the 63-year-old tradition.

The Wisconsin-based Freedom from Religion Foundation proclaims its purpose in the letter to the Road Commission of Macomb County was to "protect the fundamental constitutional principle of separation of church and state."

But Satawa contends there's nothing unconstitutional about his privately owned and maintained Christmas display. With the help of the Thomas More Law Center, Satawa has filed a case in U.S. district court asking the judge to declare the county's crèche rejection unconstitutional instead and order officials to permit its display...

Libertines who hate the law and love judicial legislation must be salivating.

It is time to go after these STUPID groups. Fight them at their own game. Start suing the crap out of them. Find out stuff. Where are they doing their business out of? Can we say ZONING ISSUES? How about their non-profit status...We need to fight fire with fire. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

Well, that is one of the aims of the political Left, to remove Christianity from the public sphere. Then add to this agenda unlimited immigration from any place in the world that isn't Christian--all Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists are welcome. Then limit the use of English in government, education, and commerce. Then without any common religion or language, the left will divide and conquer. Hello socialism and collectivism.

I think you can also have fun messing with them. How about everybody on their street gets a laminated poster-sized photo of the nativity scene in question to put in their front yard, while the lawsuit is proceeding? (There must be more fun ideas than that, but it’s what I could come up with, off the cuff.)

"protect the fundamental constitutional principle of separation of church and state."

Where exactly is that located in the Constitution again ? Is it next to the clause about guaranteeing every little girl a free pony ?
