It is not my intent to make a pest of myself but, to reach out for prayer and any thoughts Freepers may have. However, if, at anytime, anyone feels my posts are becoming a nuisance please let me know. There will be no harsh feelings.
Today has been a roller coaster and feeling a bit down in the valley of the ride today.
When arriving for the biopsy today I found there was another mass found by the CAT scan and a couple of "swollen" lymph nodes. Even though we were told yesterday such was not the case.
The nurse, who spoke with my wife and I yesterday said, the CAT scan was negative, but she admitted today she had read only 1 of 3 portions of the report. The portion regarding the head. She had not read the chest or stomach report.
The biopsy was a piece of cake, no pain whatsoever. Even though all but about half an inch the 6.5" needle was buried into my right groin area. Will have results next week, not sure what day.
I pray no one ever go though this. The roller coaster of emotions, the tears of loved ones, the selfish thoughts to hang onto life, and the constant realization that I am nothing special. If God can and does take children, even newborns every day, who am I to think I deserve special attention.

Hang in there! And try to do as much internet research as you can, so you can understand what the doctors and nurses are talking about and doing to you. You’d be amazed how much people can control the course of their medical adventures by becoming super-well-informed. The doctors and nurses just don’t have time to really, really focus on just you and your specific issues. Bringing yourself up to speed on your specific issues will multiply the value of all their years of training and experience many times over.

My prayers are with you and the family. My father went through it couple weeks ago and found nothing (although doctors were little nervous about it. But our prayers are more powerful than some of the strongest treatments in this world).

I went through a health crisis a little over a year ago and had two major surgeries. In the challenge that you now confront, you will have more support and kindness from family, friends, and strangers than you expect. You will find reserves of strength and courage within you that you do not realize you have. And you have already recognized the most important thing of all: God is in charge. My prayers are with you.

your ordeal is not a bother and we willingly pray for your return to good health. i understand your fear and worry but please know that sometimes the so called experts do get it wrong. case in point: my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic tumor. surgery got rid of it but on her birthday she was terribly weak and tired and running a fever. at the hospital they find infection and fluid collecting in the abdomen. ct scan shows lesions on the liver. dr. doofus says this is most certainly cancer and the fluid in the gut most likely has cancer cells and this will mean my mother has only 6 to 9 months to live and no treatment possible. she gets transfered to the med center where she had surgery and real doctors do real tests and wait for real results before informing my mom that she does NOT have cancer, of any kind, anywhere. the surgery fixed the problem. some times the news you get is not written in stone. keep your hopes up and dare to question anyone who says you have an expiration date. prayers for you and your wife and your doctors going up.

Hey now! Of course you are someone special!!! You are a Freeper! You are feeling the same emotions that a close member of my family has had all summer and fall. She’s been through the roller coaster of medical tests, wrong diagnosis, and finally a correct one. She had a needle biopsy looking for cancer recently too, it was clear.
Anywho, please know that I am praying along with everyone that you have a positive outcome and that God will guide you and the doctors, and comfort you and your loved ones through a very difficult time. God Bless you, Vigilance.
