This is the latest Hal Lindsey Report. Lindsey talks about what's happening to the American dollar by way of the Federal Reserve and the Obama Administration.

But he has some keen insight into our end times. It was very clear that the decline of the dollar Brother Hal has lots of warts.

paralleled the decline in our culture.
You can think what you will about Hal, and all the other writers of the End-Times books so popular in the 1970’s. Yes they were not 100% accurate, BUT many of they things they wrote about that seemed far fetch in the 70’s have come to pass. You can’t deny that.
When I was a young Christian in the 1970’s I got caught up in all of those end-time books lining the bibles book stores shelves. The most notable was Hal Lindseys, The Late Great Planet Earth. Although they were fascinating reading, so much of it seemed like too far fetched to believe it could happen in my life time.
CASHLESS SOCIETY?
In the 1970’s the thought of using a debit card almost anyplace, including vending machines and parking lots seems just too far out. Yea, someday way off into the future. Well today I go weeks without paper money or coin. I can probably can go without it all together, if it wasn’t for the coffee kitty at work.
ONE WORLD LEADER?
This was always a great mystery. How could one man become so popular so fast as to set him self up as God in a short 3 ½ years. Mystery no more. I am not saying Obama is the Antichrist, but his coming from nowhere in such a short time to become a Godhead among his Koolaid drinking followers that spread beyond our borders, is just to strange. It shows you how fast the real Antichrist can enter the World Stage.
WORLD GOVERNMENT?
Hard to fathom in the 1970’s. Now, its something even the main stream media is picking up on. And the World Wide Web, not something Hal Lindsey even dreamed of, now makes a World Government an easier thing to accomplish.
THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION?

-Sooner or later, the government will catch on to the flaws of the ‘Debit’ card:
1. it can be stolen
2. it can be broken
3. it can be lost
-too many issues.
But, with the micro-chip they are now using on animals, you can SECURE your ‘Debit’ number within your own skin. Hey, it’s only the size of a grain of rice! -Easy!

It is not just talk, most everything from furniture to ritual tools have already been made, last I heard the main thing left that they need is a perfect red heifer, without spot or blemish, whose ashes are needed for purification. IIRC, I read that a ranch in Texas is working on it. The remaining problem is the Dome of the Rock Mosque, but the Antichrist’s ‘peace deal’ will resolve that issue.

It goes without saying, of course, that the second coming does not logically follow from this. The end of the American dream is not necessarily the same as the end of the world. America is a young country in historical terms and it may have a short future if it doesn't quit with its anti-life mentality but the world existed for a long time before America came on the scene and it may well carry on long after America is a smoking ruin. America could go down in history as a good but somewhat brief experiment which went horribly wrong.
The "Ozymandias" poem springs to mind, here.
Hal has made a fine living as a commentator on present and future events but he has no special gift.
You’re a little off in one of your assumptions. The US would have to be removed as an economic power in order for there to be a world government. This country and the power of it’s dollar was the only thing blocking the progress of the last gentile kingdom predicted by Daniel. Two main things have to be in place for this final scenario to take place.
1) Israel must exist again as a country. (after the better part of 2000 years it does)
2) There must be a government that controls the entire earth so that the antichrist can control the entire world through one seat of power.
How do you suppose the antichrist could cause everyone to not be able to buy or sell without his mark if he doesn’t control the world economy?
What we are saying is that everything is in place for the those end times events to occur but for the fact that the US (one country) has controlled the world economy and didn’t fit into prophecy. If the US is reduced to a level where it must join the New World Order or should it(the US)just simply cease to exist then the picture is complete and the predictions are coming to pass.

The US has already joined the "New World Order" (whatever that might be). In fact, it's been in the vanguard of the movement towards secularism, humanism, feminism, nihilism and hedonism for years. The US isn't an obstacle to the forces of evil. It is an active promoter of it. The abortion industry is a fine example.
The idea that the US dollar is all that is restraining the forces of evil is the result of a classically Americo-centric view of the world and it overlooks the role America has played in the decay of traditional morality and the sanctity of human life.

He will sign, we must stop it in the Senate (good luck to US on that) because this is one treaty that we can't repeal later.

Also, they’ve located the descendants of the Old Testament Levite priests and are in the process of training them to perform the rituals in the about-to-be-rebuilt Temple.
Global governance cannot come about until America is brought down and removed as an obstacle and that is what is in the process of happening.
