Now show us the ones that teach a pre-trib rapture.
DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING!!!!!
Folks, we have a winner. Finally, an honest dispensationalist who at least admits that you need to adopt The System® before going to the Bible if you want to locate dispensational truths.
Unless you first put on the dispensational glasses you wont find the rapture, or dispensations, or the radical Israel/Church dichotomy.
Thank you for your honesty.
BTW, is the rapture really taught in 2 Thess. 2:5-8?
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. (2 Thess. 2)
Including this one?

(2 Thess. 2)How exactly does that fit with your rapture theory?
So, do you agree with The Ignorant Fisherman that [y]ou have to see things through a despensational window to see the whole pic
, i.e., you have to presume the dispensational system before going to the Bible in order to find dispensational truths like the rapture?
I believe in a Pre-Trib Rapture, but I find the opening paragraph of this post to be absurd.
I thought is was a joke.
Why then does Jesus come twice?
I will bet everything I have against everything you have that the “Rapture” will not happen in the next five years. Hurry up, because I need retirement funds.
I never said I agreed with Rapture. All I did was post a few verses which are commonly used to support it since someone asked.
1. Because B contains the idea of the gathering of the saints to a returning Jesus every time they see A they assume it's talking about everything else in B, even when discussions of A by none other than Jesus himself rule out the concoction called B.
2. They frequently make acceptance of B an article of faith to the point that if you deny B, they claim you're denying A and the sovereign Lord that bought you with the price of his blood, blah, blah, blah, heaping up all sorts of pious sounding condiments onto their concoction in B that doesn't at all derive from A, depend on A, or make contradiction of B a rejection of A, so that the lack of scriptural support of B is easy to ignore under the bright, tasty, and spicy layers of pieties. For some weird reason they seem almost eager to provoke a reaction to B, describe it as a rejection of A, so that they can feel even more secure about their adherence to B. The problem is that they're still promoting a foot long hot dog that has no wiener.
once in the AIR to get the church before his global 7 year judgement on the earth then his second coming back to earth to establish his 1000 kingdom....
I understand.
Goes to the Three Trib argument. The Bible (Revelation) just says He will come again - not twice but once.

You heard it right here, boys and girls: A plain admission that you must first think like a dispensationalist to find "dispensational truths" in the Bible.
In the real world, we gain insight and understanding not by bringing our preconceptions to the Bible and imposing them on the text (ala dispensationalism), but to go to the Bible and allowing God to speak to us though it. Surely even you understand that principle, no?
You can guffaw all you wish, but the admission is in black and white.
