Let’s see what he does for this event! And the ACLU gets their panties in a bunch over a Nativity scene in front of City Hall.

Why should we allow ANYONE to have a religious event that is obviously political on government property? Hmmm? Isn’t this what the libs have been screaming about for years? Where’s the separation of church and state?

Washington, D.C. - On September 25th there will be a national prayer gathering of Muslims on the west front of the U.S. Capitol Building. They are expecting at least 50,000 to attend from mosques all across America . They will gather to pray from 4:00 AM until 7:00 PM. The gathering will take place by the site where U.S. Presidents have been inaugurated since 1981. The organizers say that it was Obama's inauguration speech in January and his speech broadcast from Egypt in June that gave them the idea for this prayer gathering on Capitol Hill.&n bsp;

Okay, I found one story on this. The flag was raised on the Ellipse, not the South Lawn. I am sure you know, but for those who don't, the Ellipse is a public area adjacent to the White House, but not inside the White House grounds fence. So they didn't get their flag up at the White House, after all, just close. I am sure they played it like a huge victory in the Chinese media. Also, the guy who organized this appears to run one of those strange educational businesses for immigrants in Maryland. I am sure it is legitimate, and pure as the driven snow, but others very similar to it have in the past been linked to human trafficking, document fraud and illegal immigration.

I think the gathering of moon-worshippers on the Capitol grounds, and on the mall, is much more sinister.

Not necessarily ... the military is sworn to uphold the Constitution. Because of what they're asked to do, military folks are obsessive contingency planners ... I remember reading somewhere about there once being a plan to invade Quebec if it seceded from Canada and established a communist government.
