Using a similar technique, I could probably use the Bible to demonstrate Milton Berle was the anti-Christ.

Looking for the Anti-Christ in every world leader doesn't seem like the most productive thing Christians could be doing in the world.

With that said, St. John in the Book of Revelations identifies the number of the beast as "666."

Therefore, if you want to know about the anti-Christ, look in the Gospel of John 6:66::

After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.

If John was making reference in Revelations to this passage in the Gospel, reading the two together suggests the following conclusion: The anti-Christ refers to the body of the anti-Christ composed of those followers of Christ who turn their back on him and no longer walk with him.

Why did these followers turn away from Christ? They rejected his command to eat his body.

John 6:53-59:
53So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of) the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 55For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread the fathers ate and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever." 59Jesus said these things in the synagogue, as he taughtat Capernaum.

The numbering of the verse you cite is coincidental with the Revelation “Beast” prophecy; after all, the Canon of Scripture was not divided into the chapters and verses we know today until AD 1548. That being said, the theology behind your assertion is quite sound: those who knowingly refuse to eat the Flesh and drink the Blood of Jesus Christ are lost.

There are antiChrists and there is THE AntiChrist. The latter is referred to with the pronoun he. He is spoken of as committing specific actions in Daniel, Revelation, 1 Thessalonians, etc., He is not an allegory for unbelievers. He is a person.

The anti-Christ is also referred to as the Man of Perdition and he wasn’t alive during Jesus’ time. Don’t you believe in the anti-Christ, bdeaner? He’s real and if he’s not Obama (and I’m not sure he is), you’ll know him when he appears as a man of peace. Don’t be fooled by him.

The problem with that logic is that the chapter and verse divisions were not made until centuries later. So what John writes in Revelation could not possibly have been some kind of code for a non-existent chapter/verse reference.

The antichrist was Emperor constantine, as he opened the council of Nicea, putting the Roman Empire in charge of Christian Religion. That led to the corruption that became the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches, the suppression of biblical texts that disagreed with their corrupt leaders, and torture and murder of purported heretics.
