From website:

"Top Thinkers of The Early Church"

"Many people who know a lot about the Bible know little about what happened right after the time of the Bible, after Jesus and His apostles. This is the period of time from A.D. 100 to A.D. 500. Few Christians are aware that the very greatest of all thinkers, scholars, and leaders of this time were found on the continent of Africa. The five individuals selected [and discussed below] all lived in North Africa."

St. Augustine's The City of God was required reading in a couple of my classes in college. Rewarding, but easily one of the most challenging reads of my lifetime. The oafs who fall all over 0bama's "intellectual" speeches ought to try a chapter of Augustine and learn what the real deal is.

Yes, these men lived in North Africa, but they weren't black. Not everyone that lives in North Africa is black. Most likely these men were either Romans, Phoenicians, or Greeks. You even had Vandals and Goths living in North Africa at the time. This is another case of Black “mythology.”

They could have added Cyprian of Carthage and Cyril of Alexandria.

Arius gets left off the list for obvious reasons.
