THERE IS STILL A GOD IN HEAVEN!
FatherCorapi.com ^ | 11-7-08 | Father Corapi

Posted on 11/06/2008 9:12:29 PM PST by GonzoII

The American people have now made it abundantly clear who they want to lead them, and the policies and practices that this president-elect has represented for some time, they can now claim as their own. Actions have consequences, and I am sure God has duly noted what our priorities are in the US of A. Economic matters would seem to take precedence over moral matters; money more important than life itself to most people (I guess they don’t consider almost 50,000,000 innocent children murdered by abortion part of life). Now we shall see what the fruit of such a tree will be. I predict that we won’t have to wait long. In recent months we have seen “corrections” in the stock market, housing market, and banking industries. Now we’ll see if God orchestrates a “correction” in a country and a world that has demonstrated quite clearly that it prefers convenience and wealth to life itself. Regardless of whatever happens next, remember there is still a God in Heaven and He loves you. He is infinitely merciful—and He is infinitely just as well.

God Bless You

Fr. John Corapi

The redoubtable, Father Corapi, unlike the soft revisionists currently infesting The Church, is not afraid to address such ancient and fundamental concepts as Judgment and Hell.

Yet, he remains wildly popular within the laity of the Catholic Church.

There is a limit even to God's forbearance.

We have sinned, Lord. Have mercy on us all, and on our posterity.

I was in my front yard this morning watching the dogs, asking God why Obama won. Right then an Obama sign (the plastic bag type that wrap over-top wire stands) was being blown down the street. It paused right in front of me, than floated away, slowly tossing and twisting down the road.

I believe that God controlls evrything, every molocule in the universe. God was letting me know that he is still in control, even of Obama, (though he probably doesn't know it).

~ PRAYER ~

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle
Be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil;
May God rebuke him, we  humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
 by the power of God,
Thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits
who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
 Amen

Good post!

As for me, I’m not an “American” anymore - - there’s no longer any such thing.
I just live here.

America - - as a concept - - was a grand experiment. I bet the founders would be astonished to find that it lasted as long as it did. Unfortunately, the place is now nothing more than a land mass populated by cretins and parasites who enthusiastically vote for those politicians who promise them the most “free stuff” - - confiscated by force from their neighbors - - in exchange for their votes.

(Didn’t one of the founders predict that the nation would quickly die once people learned they could vote themselves other people’s money? Whatever...)

At this point, my main worry is for those poor souls in the military who now are essentially defending nothing and who might soon find themselves “redeployed” to UN “peacekeeping” missions in places like Rwanda and Darfur, armed only with rubber bullets. I hope as many soldiers, sailors, and Marines as possible find a way to get themselves out of the military, and quick.

I am not stunned and have been preparing for this spiritually for years. The way Obama’s presidency will go will depend upon one significant event: The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)

If he signs it, there will be an stunning angry response from heaven which will manifest itself into Ezekiel Chapter 7 which will literally be what his presidency will bring to this country. His time in office will be completely accursed and will set a new standard of incompetence that will make Jimmy Carter look like Abraham Lincoln.

“The American people have now made it abundantly clear who they want to lead them, and the policies and practices that this president-elect has represented for some time, they can now claim as their own.”

I don’t like this sentence as it lumps me into the whole mess of masses - and I DON’T and WILL NOT claim his ideas as my own.

I am however reminded of a conversation of a Christian from China that saw the Faith grow so strong and rapidly during their persecution. As they would pray in hiding, one of their prayers was that American Christians would be persecuted so that OUR faith would grow.

I thanked him for his presentation, and added “but...can you quit praying for us!?”

I am sure God knows how each of us voted. Frankly I might benefit financially from this in the short term as my income is not very big. However, I put social issues over money. Probably explains why I have never been wealthy. LOL.

BTW, I am not in anyway suggesting that wealthy people are evil, they are just smarter then I have been. Choices matter. I have not always made good ones. But I still wish to be wealthy, so life goes on.

God gave us free will, He did not give us a free ride.

Your will is not "Free" until it has been surrendered to God.

As long as it is your Will it is in bondage to sin.

I still pray that we get back on track, there are still a lot of people who love that “grand experiment”.

And remember, God chastises those He loves!!:

Prv:3:11:
11 My son, reject not the correction of the Lord: and do not faint when thou art chastised by him: 12 For whom the Lord loveth, he chastiseth: and as a father in the son he pleaseth himself.

If we keep praying we'll get the rod we need.

Yes this is a consoling message from Father Corapi.
Yes we must continue to pray for God's mercy and protection.
AND we must pray for new conservative soldiers to run for office. There are more Sarah (or Sam) Palins out there. Graduates of Patrick Henry College perhaps. Either way the conservative movement needs strong new blood and candidates especially in all the blue states who have clean closets for we know they will be attacked. I hope one good result form this election is an army of new conservative candidates we need them desperately.

If anyone might be interested, I recorded a similar post-mortem for my Catholic “internet radio” program which will air this Sunday at 9:30 AM Eastern Time. That show, and the one for last Sunday, will also be on the archives all week.

The website is www.cyberstationusa.com. To listen “live’ at 9:30, just click on the “play” button. To listen on the archives, click on “The Shows” near the upper-right corner of the homepage, scroll down to Sunday, and click on either of the shows for Take Away the Stone. Whenever this is done, the current and previous weeks’ shows will be available.

I’d be interested in any feedback that FR members might want to provide after listening to the show this Sunday morning. I tried to keep it from just being a “rant,” but I did call lots of people on the carpet over this election.

Perhaps we need a trial.

The guilt is on us, in the Church. WE have not been the light to the culture. We have been reacting or accommodating it. Look at the “Seeker” and church growth movement.

When you compromise to attract more customers/members, you sacrifice the truth for convenience. The truth is what it is, and needs no apology.

We need to remember that.

The biggest bother to me about this election is the fact that those who voted for the monster that is the President Elect of this great nation, now believe that God is on their side. I have seen many posts on their sites saying that “There is a God” and he has delivered them from the religious fanatics.

Well, there is a God. and he is not the God Obama knows.

the monster? come on now, that is a bit much. Obama obviously wants to do good for people...the problem is how that good is done. When you say that he is a monster it makes it easier to hate him. I will forgive him as he is hynotized to some degree by the darkside as so many people are. And then I will stand up and fight against him if he tries to promote anything wrong.

We have been in the end times since Christ went back to heaven. The question is are we in the final hours?

Of the world? I don't think so. Not quite yet. To many other things that need to be in place that aren't yet.

Of the US? Well, yes. All republics become democracies, and fall into tyranny. We are at the latter stage of the democracy, just waiting for the next Caesar or Stalin.

You are right, he is not a monster. He is a foolish man.

In a way, that makes him more dangerous. A monster is easy to fight, but a fool with power is more dangerous. The latter will attract a great many other fools to follow him.

fabian, I understand you don’t want to start this new presidency out with a hateful view of Obama. I wish I could do the same. Monster is mild when one considers that he listened to the testimony of Jill Stabek and still blocked the vote on the Infant Born Alive Protection bill in Illinois.

I want to be hopeful, but I have seen nothing either during the campaign nor since his election to give me reason to hope. I believe as you do that most of the people who voted for him did so out of a desire to help this country and her people.

However, I do not believe that Obama’s motives are good. I think he is motivated by anger and that he is vengeful. I don’t make this assessment lightly. Nor do I do so without having watched, read and listened to him in his own words. I know that all are God’s children but, like Lucifer, I believe that some of those children are just bad. That doesn’t mean that I won’t pray for the Holy Spirit to change his heart, but, yeah, he is a monster to me.
