If you and your church are called by His Name, you qualify!! Our goal is, at the very least, one church in each state! Will your church represent your state? We are coming together as Methodists, Baptists, Pentecostals and any Bible believing church to to get on our faces, fast, pray and seek God for our families, cities and nation! It was once a common thing in our early nation for our Presidents to call us together for a time of prayer and fasting! Each church is free to organize their fast as they choose! Each church is encouraged to hold a prayer service during the week and to remind the members to continue throughout the week in an attitude of prayer for our nation! WE WANT EVERY STATE COVERED! BE THE FIRST CHURCH, OR MAYBE THE ONLY CHURCH TO REPRESENT AND STAND FOR YOUR CITY AND STATE! Seems like the tradition started long ago. Here is one begun by Thomas Jefferson.
May 24 1774—In Virginia, The House of Burgesses proclaims a day of fast on the first day of June. The resolution, drafted by Thomas Jefferson: “This House,being deeply impressed with apprehension of the great dangers, to be
derived to British America, from the hostile Invasion of the City of Boston, in our Sister Colony of Massachusetts bay, whose commerce and harbour are, on the first Day of June next, to be stopped by an Armed force, deem it highly necessary that the said first day of June be set apart, by the Members of this House, as a day of Fasting, Humiliation
and Prayer, devoutly to implore the divine interposition for
averting the heavy Calamity which threatens destruction to our Civil Rights, and the Evils of civil War; to give us one heart and one Mind to firmly oppose, by all just and proper means, every injury to American Rights; and that the Minds of his Majesty and his parliament, may be inspired from above with Wisdom, Moderation, and Justice, to
remove from the loyal People of America, all cause of danger, from a continued pursuit of Measure, pregnant with their ruin.”
