Chuck Pierce and Kabbalah: The Month of Iyar
Last week, I posted an article exposing the occultic origins of Chuck Pierce's so-called "ministry," explaining that most of what he claims are "Words from the Lord" actually comes from astrology and Kabbalah (a New Age form of Jewish Mysticism).
The latest post from Chuck Pierce is just more evidence that "Dr." Chuck Pierce is not a Christian minister, but an adherant of another religion, Kabbalah. According to him (and Kabbalah), we have just entered the Hebrew month of "Iyar." Here's a comparison of what Chuck Pierce and Kabbalah have to say:
MONTH OF IYAR
Kabbalah: "Iyar is Shor / Taurus / Bull corresponding to Issachar (Torah scholars) and the faculty of thought." Kabbalah: "Tribe: Isaachar. -- Isaachar is the scholarly tribe of Israel. The Sanhedren was mostly composed from the tribe of Isaachar." Pierce: "We have entered the month of Iyar which is linked to the Issachar Anointing."
NATURAL HEALING
Kabbalah: "This offers us all the ability to instigate healing processes during this month." Kabbalah: "The month of Iyar is commonly referred to as the month of natural healing." Kabbalah: "This month is full of challenges regarding medicine. Taurus is the sign of medicine. There is the tendency to search for answers and unconventional answers in alternative and holistic healing." Kabbalah: "There is also a new initiative and pioneering thinking in the field of science and medicine." Pierce: "This is a month to experiment with natural healing and align yourself with the supernatural Healer." Pierce: "This is the month of Natural Healing and a time to find new ways for new strength to manifest...It is also when I AM God Your Healer begins to manifest."
SECRETS
Kabbalah: "Isaachar is the scholarly tribe of Israel...In particular, Isaachar was the master of the 'secret' of the Jewish calender." Kabbalah: "This day marks the tremendous joy associated with the revelation of the esoteric, inner dimensions and secrets of the Torah." Pierce: "This is a month to better understand the secrets of the Lord and get in His perfect timing." Pierce: "This is a month of thought and meditation so that we can understand secrets."
RIGHT KIDNEY
Kabbalah: "Controller: Right kidney. Our sages say 'the kidneys give advice.' In particular, the right kidney relates to spiritual advice or introspection." Kabbalah: "God produced Vau...and the right kidney of man." Kabbalah: "According to the book of Yetzirah, the body part connected with Iyar is the right kidney. The kidneys represent inner advice and conscience."
Pierce: "[E]ach month is linked with a function of the body. This is the month of the right kidney. Kidneys are linked with conscience and thought."
LIGHT
Kabbalah: "[T]he month of Iyar is understood to be the month of Divine healing power--healing with light....in accordance with the way of the Ba'al Shem Tov--not to attack darkness directly, head on, but rather to disarm it with light: 'a little light dispels much darkness.'" Kabbalah: "It [Iyar] is a time in which we can earn the Light that we received on Pesach and prepare ourselves for freedom from all forms of death."
Kabbalah: "The month of Iyar is also called the month of 'Ziv', which means 'shine'. Perhaps it is the day of Lag B'Omer that illuminates the entire month with the illustrious light of Torah and its secrets." Kabbalah: "The vav represents both 'straight light,' descending from God into the worlds and 'returning light,' the energy rising above created by our spiritual service. This is the 'secret of the omer' period wherein we learn to recognize and integrate both lights and all they represent."
Pierce: "This is the month of radiance, when light increases; watch Glory increasing around you." Pierce: "I am opening and showing you light for new opportunity" Pierce: "I say this is a time when MY Spirit is coming to loose light. There will be such a release of the miraculous."
BIRTH/PREGNANCY
Kabbalah: "This is the secret of the 'pregnancy' and 'birth' of Mashiach, the quintessential leader of Israel..." Kabbalah: "[T]he Jewish people was conceived ...with Abraham and Sarah as they floated down the fallopian tube with Isaac, and implanted in the dark womb of Egypt...There they gestated for 210 years until...they were born on the seventh day of Passover when they passed through the Red Sea, the spiritual equivalent to the birth canal." Kabbalah: "If Passover marks the birth of this new chunk of soul, then the month of Iyar is its infancy....The month of Iyar links Passover to Shavuot, and so brings us from birth to betrothal."
Pierce: "You have many things in the birth canal of your future, and you need a new strength to press forward." Pierce: "There is a birth that is imminent! Call in the midwives to assist in that which must come forth now." Pierce: "You will be expert in bringing forth. There have been many things conceived in My Body that have never been brought forth."
MEDITATION Kabbalah: "Sense: Thought. -- Thought here implies contemplation and introspection." Kabbalah: "Iyar is the month of introspection for the sake of self improvement." Kabbalah: "In particular, the right kidney relates to spiritual advice or introspection."
Pierce: "This is a month of thought and meditation." Pierce: "[T]his is the perfect time for self-reflection. I usually do not tell people to be introspective, but this is the perfect time to do a 'spring-cleaning' of your emotions and mind."
ANGELS/HEAVEN, ASCENDING AND DESCENDING
Kabbalah: "The shape of Aleph represents a ladder...Aleph is the connector, the bridge that makes it possible for angels, bearers of divine messages, to flow freely back and forth between the heavenly and the earthly"
Kabbalah: "And we become the ladder making the connection between heaven and earth, providing the channel for angels to ascend and descend, opening the way for communication with the Holy One." Kabbalah: "We should be willing to ascend to heaven to connect to the Light of the Creator"
Kabbalah: "[D]ream ascents are fairly common practice of Kabbalah and a person may train to have a 'dream question' which he brings to divine councillors whom (s)he may meet during the dream ascent. It is clear that early Jewish mystics were very occupied with the images of ascended patriarchs, prophets and sages, and in particular with the images of Enoch and Elijah who ascended to heaven without dying and apparently became arch-angels."
Kabbalah: "Although the air of the earthly atmosphere is thick in volume and mass, the mystery wisdom of the spirit realm still manages to enter this world because of the birds. For when the birds are in flight, their flapping wings cut through the thickness of the atmosphere, enabling in the moment for the mystery wisdom of the spirit realm to come through to our world."
Pierce: "The constrictions around you have stopped you from seeing your runway of advancement. I have come to make room for you to ascend to a new height. Extend your wings. Then extend them again. Stretch them to the left and the right. It is time for you to take flight! I AM coming down and cutting through the atmosphere that has been too thick for your vision to progress. I will take you through and over."
Pierce: : "This is the sound of the army of Heaven connecting with the army of earth. Hear the sound of visitation."
AMBIVALENCE
Kabbalah: "A danger of Aleph is to become paralyzed with ambivalence. When we are able to see both sides, we may become like Hamlet, unable to choose and act. We may need to rouse ourselves into action, while recognizing that 'not choosing' is itself a choice."
Pierce: "At this key, intersecting time of moving forward, many seem to be hesitating. Many are also snared between two opinions. I am opening and showing you light for new opportunity, but I see some resisting the steps into that place of faith and ministry and prosperity. The call will remain extended for several weeks ahead."
Keep in mind, all of these comments, both from Kabbalah and Chuck Pierce, apply specifically to the Heberew month of Iyar. References to all these are included below.
So that's it for Kabbalah Master Chuck Pierce and the month of Iyar. Two months down, ten to go.

Chuck Pierce and Kabbalah: Month of Nissan
In the first of our series of articles about Chuck Pierce and his promotion of Kabbalah, we take a look at the month of Nissan/Nisan.
According to Chuck Pierce, all months have some sort of spiritual (mystical, actually) significance. This, he claims, is because God created each month that way. Like much of what Mr. Pierce claims, however, that's not in the Bible. So where did he come up with that idea? Quite simply, he got it from Kabbalah. Consider the following from the Sepher Yetzirah, one of the central texts of Kabbalah. On the month of Nisan, it says:
"God produced He [Hei], predominant in Speech, crowned, combined, and formed Aries in the world, Nisan in the year, and the right foot of man."
Notice the emphasis on 1) the power of speech, 2) astrology (Aries is the Ram), and 3) the right foot. According to Kabbalah, each month is connected to some human sense or expression (sight, hearing, movement, etc.), an astrological zodiac sign (Aries, Leo, Gemini, etc.), as well as a part of the body (stomach, spleen, etc.).
It might interest you to know that Chuck Pierce follows this precise pattern in explaining the so-called significance of the Hebrew months. Here's a summary of what Chuck Pierce has to say about the month of Nisan/Nissan:
"This month [Nisan] represents the annual renewal of God's HEI plan...the month to decree, by speech, your future...This is the month of the RAM...where you put your best foot forward --the 'right foot' month."
Keep in mind, Chuck Pierce made these statements specifically about the month of Nisan. Need more convincing? Here's more:
MONTH OF REDEMPTION Kabbalah: Nissan is referred to as "the month of the redemption." Pierce: This is the month of redemption.
ARIES/RAM/ASTROLOGY Kabbalah: "The Book of Formation says, 'He crowned the letter Hei and created with it Aries in the world...'" Kabbalah: "God produced He [Hei]...and formed Aries in the world...'" Pierce: "This is the month of the RAM or (lamb). Look for your RAM in the bush."
POWER OF SPEECH Kabbalah: "God produced He [Hei], predominant in Speech..." Kabbalah: "This world, created by the letter hei of Nissan, is one that is founded upon verbal communication." Kabbalah: "Sense: Speech. -- The sense of speech implies ones ability to express his deepest feelings..." Pierce: "This is the month to decree, by speech, your future. SPEAK FORTH your expected end..."
MIRACLES Kabbalah: Nissan is a month of miracles (nissim)....according to our sages, nissei nissim [means] 'miracles of miracles.'" Pierce: This is the month of the beginning of miracles--BELIEVE!
RIGHT FOOT Kabbalah: "God produced He...Nisan in the year, and the right foot of man." Kabbalah: "Controller: right foot. Just as "speaking" means "to lead," so does one's walking with one's right foot, the foot of trust and confidence Pierce: "This is the "controller" month where you put your best foot forward--the "right foot" month."
EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE Kabbalah: There are deep unsolved emotional residues bubbling up this month...Sad situations are shouting for help at this time. Kabbalah: It is going to be a month full of fire, meaning there is a strong energy pushing us forward, a drive to leave existing situations for a new reality, and new ideas and thinking. Kabbalah: These days provide us with the environment we need to work and build a positive consciousness to remove any negative actions we did and harmed in this life time or previous reincarnations, Pierce: Decree that all anxiety, fear, doubt, anger, frustration, guilt, jealousy, and envy from past iniquity in your life will be removed. Pierce: He paid for you by His BLOOD, so you could be released from any prison that is holding you. Pierce: Cut ties with any immorality that has been a part of your bloodline, or the land where you are the steward.
At the risk of stating the obvious, this is not a coincidence. Chuck Pierce is systematically and deceptively integrating New Age mysticism, in the form of Kabbalah, into Christianity -- and the folks at Elijah List have swallowed it hook, line and sinker.
So there you have it. That's the month of Nissan according to Chuck Pierce, the Kabbalist. Only eleven months to go.
Until I get around to my next post, you might want to research this on your own. Here are some of the links I used for this article:

Pierce here is shown to have lied for years about his monthly "prophetic words" for the Elijah List and other scammeries for trusting Charismatics.
This "Super Apostle" for the End Times stole his prophetic words from the astrological Kabballah, saying they were words from the Lord Jesus Christ! Unreal. Chuck, are you going to repent publicly? Oh, I forgot. You Latter Rain people aren't really Christians, so morality and fear of a holy God has nothin' on you...
Anyway, here is the public record of only SOME of Pierce's lying words for 2008.
Watch out - many will come the defense of this false prophet and lambaste you for telling truth. I saw this on the threads about Todd Bentley.
That Elijah List ought to be enough to convince anyone that Pierce and his fellow “New Apostles and Prophets” are of anti-Christ.
Today is the 14th of Tamuz on G-d's calendar.shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach AdonaiIyar began on May 6th.
It is hard to watch the dumbed down Charismatic sheep suffer under such deception as promulgated on that awful Elijah List. Such Orwellian doublespeak is employed. This Kansas City Prophetic movement, this Apostolic Prophetic cult is not a passing fad, it is actually the “Delusion” God promises He will send in judgment upon those who no longer love the truth.
That Elijah List ought to be enough to convince anyone that Pierce and his fellow New Apostles and Prophets are of Antichrist.
Thanks for the heads up, Manfred...
But let ‘em come. They have no idea how much research I've done in the past year on this delusion. Bentley is the least of my worries. They had to take him of GODTV last week when ABC Nightline exposed him as not have ONE verified medical report of healing out of almost four months of so called revival at Lakeland.
It's bait and switch with these fake Christians. One day its the perverse Baal worshiping false prophet Bob Jones, the next the perverse homosexual lying prophetic spirit of Paul Cain with Todd B. But they got yanked ingloriously offstage when the proved to be too much of a liability for Todd Bentley.
Charismatics need to remember that we are not called to “turn off our minds” to be good Christians — we are to worship with our minds. So many of them think it is about “soaking in the spirit” which is really a dangerous practice that Pierce and Bentley take full advantage of.
My fellow charismatics need also how to utilize their concordances. A few flicks of the page and this Kansas City fakery all comes crumbling down.
New age?
“The origins of the actual term Kabbalah are unknown and disputed to belong either to Solomon ibn Gabirol (1021 - 1058) or else to the 13th century CE Spanish Kabbalist Bahya ben Asher”
Kaballah is older than America.
I think the author of this article attributes it to New Age because of all the celebrity adherents of it? I have no idea; it is just not in line with either the Old or New Testament so Chuck Pierce needs to repent for cribbing from it. It is major sin for a Jew or Christian to delved into extraBiblical text or any astrological calendar.
“new age” is a term that is descriptive of and directly linked to occult practices from ancient times.
NEW AGE DEFINITION
Because the New Age is simply an umbrella term which covers a myriad of groups, with scores of authors, it is impossible to identify all its doctrines.
The following, however, is a brief overview of the basic teachings of the majority of the New Age groups.
1) All is one: all reality is a unitary whole;
2) Everything is God (god) and God (god) is everything;
3) You (as an individual) are God. You are divine; God is within you;
4) You will never die; You have lived before and you will live again (reincarnation);
5) You can create your own reality or transform your own consciousness;
6) All religions are true and, therefore, one;
7) A new world is coming; a New Age is dawning.
http://www.watchman.org/na/nadefine.htm
Kaballah may be used by new-agers, but it is not new age any more than Sufism or Zen Buddhism.
“Traditionally the study of Kabbalah has been reserved for the most learned and pious, not the masses. Jews could not even begin studying it until they were 40 years old.
“There is no simple definition of Kabbalah,” said Elliot Wolfson, professor of Hebrew and Judaic studies at New York University and a leading scholar of Kabbalah. “The word means `tradition,’ and from some time in the Middle Ages, the term began to be used to refer to secrets about the divine nature, the cosmos and the human soul or, principally, the soul of the Jew.
“Kabbalah relates both to esoteric wisdom and contemplative practices that facilitate communion and sometimes even union of the individual and God.”
Kabbalah literally means “reception,” which is synonymous with the word “tradition” in Hebrew, said professor Hava Tirosh-Samuelson of Arizona State University, who studies the relationship between philosophy and Kabbalah. It refers to receiving the inner, hidden or esoteric meaning of divine revelation, she said.
It is closely aligned with the traditional, Orthodox form of Judaism, said Pinchas Giller, professor of Jewish thought at the University of Judaism in Bel-Air, Calif., and an expert in Kabbalah.”
http://www.rickross.com/reference/kabbalah/kabbalah82.html
As in, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your might?"
Perhaps. Depends on your translation.
I was really referring to the often charismatically misinterpreted scripture “The Holy Spirit testifies to thy spirit”.
Both uses of “spirit” here refer to the rational mind, the vital principle — our thought processes.
So . . . I'm going to hell for reading your post?
Nowhere in Scripture does it restrict our reading to the Bible--in fact, the Bible itself refers to several non-canonical texts, like the Book of the Wars of the Lord, the Book of Jubilees, Enoch, and several Greek philosophers. Paul in particular used a number of "extra-curricular" texts when explaining the Gospel to a Greek audience.
Also, Kabbalah and astrology really don't have a whole lot to do with each other--except in the minds of some Hollywood freaks who like to bastardize a variety of mysticisms so that they can "feel" spiritual without having to actually do anything with their lives.
If the author of this article can't even get that right, one has to question his knowledge of the subject.
Btw, I don't know Chuck Pierce from Adam, so I don't really have a bone to pick in this fight. I just get tired of seeing Christians misrepresenting Judaism or any of its branches.
Shalom.
Just curious, but aren't a lot of Christians "involved" with these movements? What, particularly, causes you concern about the teachings and movements you brand heresies? That they teach Jesus was talking to us every bit as much as he was talking to the disciples?
OK, hate to be a theology newbie, but I couldn’t find that Scripture. What’s the controversy? Are you saying in Heb 10:15 Paul is not talking about the Holy Spirit?
This stuff has been branded heresy for quite a while. It is just unusual that mindful Charismatics have more recently been alarmed at what is being taught.
The bottom line for it is probably Gnosticism, certainly in Pierce’s case.
Doctrines of demons for the most part; all the undiscerned angel worship; third heaven astral travel, minds shut down - spirits open, stuff that kinda slid by for years until the absolutely false prophecies of these people hit the fan.
Google this Manifest Sons of God stuff. You will be surprised what so called Christian churches we probably both know and love have been deceived.
My specific concern is that Pierce, Bentley, Joyner, Hamon, Jacobs, Ahn, all believe they are end time super apostles and prophets who will supposedly get “new revelation” in prophecies or from untested demonic sources and add this to the sealed Word.
If that isn’t a big enough blasphemy for you, hold on to your hat.
Then these people believe that they will become immortal, invincible, and godlike GodMen who will take physical dominion of governments and nations in the name of God — in order to usher in Christ’s second coming.
Thereby completely overlooking the verse where God says “He will have to shorten the time for the sake of the Elect.”
What is being said, is that this is an antiChrist deluded “army” being raised up in the churches themselves. It is the End Time Delusion right under our noses. These people blur Old and New Testament covenants; don’t preach sin or salvation; chase after golddust and demonic angels that they fail to put to the Biblical test.
Hey, I could go on and on. Google this stuff. It is a dangerous Christian culty way of thinking.
I remember when it was still called “The Month of Datsun.”
It is a sin to teach anything outside of the OT or Torah as per Proverbs 6 I believe
“Every word of the Lord is pure. Add nothing to His words, lest He rebuke you and find you out to be a liar.”
The Pharisee turned Messianic Jew Paul wrote an extension of this verse in Galatians: “If I or an angel from Heaven preach to you any other Gospel, let them be accursed.”
I also recall something in the Song of Moses being along these same lines — how G-d forbids us from adding anything to the sealed Book.
When I wrote “delve” I meant that Pierce in his prophecies and teachings “delves” into extra Biblical texts and elevates them to the Word of God.
This man's sin, in either Christendom or Judaism (and as a Jew, you would be appalled that this whitebread Texan has a Jewish tabernacle in his back yard and celebrates, without meaning or understanding, much of the OT feasts — he's doing it to “impress” his largely unschooled charismatic following. What a geek, is all I can say!)
Pierce cannot preach or delve into extra biblical texts and elevate them to the level of the Word of God. The Word is God, without getting all metaphysical on you... This is heinous sin because Pierce then STEALS it from the astrological Kabballah and told his followers that this was Jesus Christ's word of the month for them!
Outrageous in either religion. Babel is an example of what G-d thinks of astrology, btw.
Romans 8:16 and Mark 13 20.
Look up “spirit” in your Strong’s Concordance. Most charismatics believe, like the Mormons do, that it is a physical sensation of the body or heart in Romans 8. They are mistaken. It is mindful understanding that God is saying testifies to us. This is why charismatics are so prone to counterfeits... they do not understand in their minds the meaning of their salvation, righteousness, etc. Very sad.
That is very funny.
I wish I could laugh more at this stuff!
(I remember the month of Datsun, too.)
Did you get the reply? It is in Romans 8: 16 the verse I was referring to.
The important thing, though, is the common misunderstanding of what our “spirit” that is indwelled by the Holy Spirit inside of us actually is.
It is our rational seat, our vital principle — not an emotion or feeling or sensation that testifies that something is of the Holy Spirit of God.
Most charismatic churches (and hey, I am a charismatic) just do not teach or get this idea.
Here’s one way of saying it: “Mindless worship” is an oxymoron.
Wow. A pretty broad brush.
OK, not sure what “doctrine of demons” means. I am pretty sure Jesus believed in demons.
Angel worship? Why, because they believe angels come to them in dreams or otherwise? How is that different from what Joseph and Mary believed?
The levels of heaven? Hmm, how is that so different than believing in a purgatory?
“. . . end time super apostles and prophets who will supposedly get ‘new revelation’ in prophecies or from untested demonic sources and add this to the sealed Word”
Well, surely these are your adjectives. Are you saying that when Jesus said make disciples of the nations, that was a vain command? What makes someone apostolic as opposed to a teacher of the Way? I can’t imagine these folks agree that their source of revelation is from demons. Are you saying that Paul, or John, was the last person God spoke to?
Not sure what you are saying about the end times.
Didn’t Jesus come to fulfill the law and the prophets? Does a better covenant really mean the old one can be ignored or was worthless while being performed? Is God that bad a deal-maker?
Does Bentley preach repentance for the forgiveness of sin? Do you?
Did Jesus say that the followers of His Way would see greater things than His miracles?
Do those who sow a spiritual seed have a right to reap a material harvest?
People whose teachings I know, trust and have tested time and again think differently than you and have been there and seen Bentley - have you?
Heck ... I couldn't even read it....
Does the month of Nissan means that they are finally going to release the 370Z?
I agree. I’ve been reading in Daniel and King Nebechanezzer (sp?) had the whole world in his hand because God gave it to him and still he refused to acknowledge Him. Instead he would consult with occultists.
Every time the Jews would turn their backs on God and worship these pagan gods, He would pass judgements on them. You’d think they would’ve wised up after the first one.
Every word of the Lord is pure. Add nothing to His words, lest He rebuke you and find you out to be a liar.
Would that include teaching the NT? Teaching science? Teaching history beyond the 1st Century--or for that matter, teaching the history of, say, the 1st Century BC?
Obviously not. Again, the Apostles had no problem with using extra-canonical sources in explaining the Gospel--without adding to the Gospel with those sources. In other words, Paul did not change the Gospel to make it accord with Greek philosophy, but he knew philosophy well enough to show where it accorded with the Gospel.
Being Messianic, I study both the rabbis and the great expositors of Christendom. In all cases, I'm looking for more information to put the Scriptures in perspective, for additional insights into the original languages, and for perspectives on difficult passages. I don't use them to add to the Scriptures, but to elucidate the Scriptures.
I've studied about Kabbalah (as opposed to studying Kabbalah), and I've found that its a very broad area of study that ranges from profound theology (that actually gives me some useful terminology and concepts in explaining Yeshua's relationship to the Father, believe it or not) to utter and occultic nonsense. (Interestingly, most modern rabbis seem to share my opinion of it, which is why they try to restrict its study to mature, married, Torah-scholars.) I spend a lot of my time steering naive Christians and Messianics away from it.
That doesn't excuse misrepresenting what Kabbalah is, however.
Now, if a person is actually elevating a book--or his own vague "prophecies"--to the level of Scripture, that's certainly a sin. I've got no argument with you there.
Where I do have an argument is when you make blanket statements that we aren't supposed to read anything other than the Bible--and that may not be what you meant, but it is what you said.
As far as "unschooled" Christians erecting tabernacles and keeping the Feasts, I'm actually all for it if it's done in a spirit of wanting to learn about the first 80% of the Bible. I think the Church gave up a great blessing when it forgot about the Feasts, and the more Christians who become interested in the Hebrew roots of their faith, the better the Church's relationship with the Jewish people becomes.
While I was in Israel last April, I got the chance to make the acquaintance of a man who teaches anti-missionary classes down at the university. However, even while he spends a lot of his time teaching Jews to undercut Christian arguments, he also spends a lot of time talking to Christians touring the city, and he notes that in the last twenty years, there's been a remarkable change in Christianity: Instead of whipping out tracts and trying to tell Jews what they believe and what they need to believe, Christians are starting to ask questions. An interest in the Feasts or other aspects of Judaism has opened up whole new dialogues between the two branches of God's children.
Personally, I find that exciting.
Now what I might do if I had a chance to observe Pierce is cringe at the way he goes about observing the Feasts--that part's okay and just a matter of him getting some details wrong; the Orthodox would cringe at most Messianics' observances for the same reason.
Where you and I agree is that he is giving (apparently, since I've not seen anything that I would call a definite fulfillment) false prophecy and using the Feasts as a backdrop to make himself seem more exotic to his audiences.
The Word is God, without getting all metaphysical on you...
Metaphysic away. Philo had that one figured out a century or more before John without the benefit of having actually met the Word in the flesh. So did the translators of the Targums (who may be owed some credit for inspiring John's prologue).
. . . astrological Kabballah . . .
I think you've already been corrected on this. Kabbalah often runs into the occultic, but it's not astrological.
Again, I'm not defending Pierce. I did a search on your name and read the other threads about him. As you've noted, his "prophecies" are so vague as to defy falsification. Nothing particularly noteworthy has happened in the two or three month window that he predicted for God's next big move. I consider him discredited.
I'm just asking that you not misrepresent an element of Judaism or suggest that the Bible should be the only book in the library in your zeal to expose a false prophet.
Shalom!
I BEG your pardon. I’m a charismatic, spirit-filled Christian and I understand what salvation, righteousness and holiness etc. are. You paint us with an altogether too broad brush. For shame.
Doesn’t Paul speak of being transported to the third heaven? Some of these complaints are pretty far fetched, IMHO. We are to be careful for sure, but do any of us really know what GOD is doing there? One of our church brothers went down and came back a true prayer warrior. Amazing change in his life.
Yup. New Age is really OLD age (not to be confused with some of us old folks here on FR).
We have friends, Christian, who celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles at their home every year. I hope you don’t think that’s wrong, too.
I do actually beg your pardon. I am a charismatic myself. There is no need for Chuck Pierce to be flouting the dead Feasts as if it is some cool spiritual thing. Especially as he brazenly lies in the name of a Holy God by attributing to HIm words from the Kabbalah about kidneys for this month, breakthroughs in another. This man does not fear God! How DARE he lie in Christ’s name.
The Temple Curtain was rent for a reason, and I am afraid Pierce and his Apostolic Prophetic Cult pals don’t understand why.
See my next post, Mary.
As I mentioned the Proverbs quote to you, as part of the Old Covenant, I did not think I needed to underscore Gods always wise and constant meaning.
Of course there is no Biblical admonition against teaching science, auto mechanics, lifeguard courses, advanced medicine, Josephus, Platonism, Egyptology, the lyrics of Bob Dylan or even, KISS, Madonna or the Ramones.
What the Word, as in the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is saying is that we have no right to ELEVATE any other belief system, prophetic word, tradition of man, or book of wise sayings to the level of Scripture. I will be clear: This is also an admonition against the dreaded idea of mixture. We are forbidden to add to His words or pin on Him and His ways anything that will affect the nature of as I see you are a cool Messianic - that will affect the nature of His everlasting Covenant.
This is because to add to a contract, or Covenant, is always to alter or change it in some fashion. Scripture is sealed. There is no new wine to be added to the New Wine of the New Covenant already poured.
If Pierces blasphemy against God by stating that the Kaballah, astrological or not in its divination of words for the month (I dont know a modern Kaballist who is not also into astrology, but Ill give you this without research that perhaps it does not diviinate upon the stars) were from the Lord God speaking, Thus saith the Lord then I beseech you to further show yourself approved about the Kansas City Cult.
These people of Lakeland, of the Toronto Blessing, of the Elijah List are not Christians; they are very much akin in more frightening ways that one to Mormons. (Mormons who delight in adding to the sealed Word; who raise new revelation to the level of the given Word; who lean upon undiscerned demonic beings for revelation and practice the dead idea of the Office of the Prophet) Pierces cult practice all this and more they believe themselves to be Super Apostles and Super Prophets for the End Times who may give this New Word of God without bounds, to the great unschooled modern western Christians.
This, my dear brother in Christ, is a recipe for disaster. This, my dear fellow believer, is Mein Kamf for their new, bloody dominionist Church. This is the false prophetic school of THE False Prophet who will usher in the Anti Christ.
I say the above without reservation. Check the facts for yourself, I implore you. If modern believers are not taught and cannot discern true from false prophets now, how will they possibly discern the smooth deceptive words of The False Prophet we have been warned against?
Pierce is dangerous I agree with you wholeheartedly that Paul used every argument of the philosophy of his day to make the case for the Gospel. I take some issue that not much, if any, Greek idea outside of their worship to an unknown God was in line with the nonintellectual idea of the plain humiliation of the Cross, but it was to sculpt away the dross to reveal what is Truth. We are to pull down arguments, (satanic strongholds of the mind) that resist the knowledge of God as we give every man an answer for our faith.
For example, I enjoy Aristotle and Plato for their quest for truth in a culture that knew not God. Like Dante, I tend to personally want to give place them in a higher spiritual plane than the average Joe Shmoe that died without knowledge of the God of the Hebrews. I am in no wise attempting a lame modern argument that all truth is Gods truth there is some danger there, as well.
We are forbidden to add to the Words of the Book. This does not mean we are forbidden to have knowledge, we just are scorched by God to understand that knowledge puffeth up we are to seek His Cross bearing wisdom fear of the Lord.
This is the End Time delusion that Pierce and his fellow cohorts are promulgating. It is widespread and frankly, if I knew not Yeshua, I would be frightened out of my mind.
I was brought to the Lord by Messianic Jews; I even dream I am a Jew and drop so much conversational Yiddish that most think I am a Jew.
Pierces revival of the dead Feasts is not educational but deceptive.
Please dont pin me in any anti-knowledge false asceticism. Thats not me and I dont believe that it is our Lord.
Bless you and keep you.
If your friends are celebrating the dead Jewish feasts for the same reasons that Chuck Pierce does, I hope they have wised up to the false doctrine and false prophecies that have come out of the Elijah List.
If they are just celebrating to educate their children or themselves about the spiritual nature embedded in our shared Judeo Christian heritage, all power to them.
Other than that, you seem not to grasp the enormity of Chuck Pierce’s sin as has been headlined in this post. Unrepented for sin, as of this writing.
This is quite an omission from a reputed “Apostle for the End Times” as Chucky likes to regale himself.
I wouldn’t dream of deciding why my friends are celebrating the feasts. Since the father is a teacher and the children are home schooled, I will only assume it’s for education’s sake and for the fellowship of believers. Since God seems to think the feasts are important in his calendar of events, I will not judge that they are dead feasts.
I will not judge Chuck Pierce or any of the others. That’s God’s domain, not mine.
Actually, Paul tells us that “Of those on the outside, God is the judge. Of those on the inside we are the judges”.
Of course we have every right, and every prerogative to judge Chuck Pierce on his blatant sin.
If we don’t, who will? Who will protect the flock from this heresy?
Big diff between “discernment” and “hypocrisy”, Mary. If we just let Chucky go on and on, how many will have faith that fails?
