Evangelist Bill Keller of LivePrayer a dot com ministry that has 2.4 million daily subscribers to Keller’s messages is leaving the seat open for Sen. Obama to answer questions about his Christian faith. Will he accept the invitation?

The call is simple and cordial but the questions are biting and will not be easy to answer. Bill Keller has issued the public invitation by saying “I am sending a formal invitation to Senator Obama to sit down with me on camera and deal with these serious questions regarding what he believes about his Christian faith

Bill Keller can forget it. Obama has already had his secret meeting with religious leaders (identities remain secret).

He needs to make Obama put his right hand on the Bible, raise his left hand and recite the Apostles Creed. Better yet, make him put his right hand on the koran and say it so all the muslims can see him do it.

Pigs will fly first ...

Here are Keller’s 3 issues and we know the answers already

“The three issues Bill says start with “His position on abortion. His entire political career he has not just voted to uphold the slaughter of innocent babies, but he has been a defender of those rights. He has been such a staunch defender of this practice of legalized infanticide that he was endorsed by NARAL, one of the world’s leading baby killing organizations. God calls abortion murder and no Christian in good conscience can defend or support murdering innocent babies.

Keller’s second question would be “His position on the sin of homosexuality. Again, his entire political career Senator Obama has been a staunch ally and supporter of the homosexual community. He is in favor of redefining God’s Holy Institution of Marriage to include men marrying men and women marrying women, he is in favor of redefining God’s plan for the family to include adoption by same sex couples, and he is in favor of special rights for people who choose to engage in deviant sexual relationships. God calls homosexuality an abomination and the bible defines this act as a sin from the Old Testament through the New Testament.” Keller’s question is simple how can someone who adheres to the words of Christ and his apostles ignore their words so openly and still claim to be a Christian?

Finally says Keller “His position on Israel. Senator Obama is in favor of giving away part of the land that God himself gave to the children of Israel to their enemies, whose stated goal and desire is to kill every Jew and wipe them off the face of the earth. God’s promise to Abraham found in Genesis 12:3 is still in effect. It reads, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” “No man has the right to give away the land God himself gave to Israel” says Bill.

Keller is aware as are a lot of people in this day that a new kind of eclectic Christianity is emerging where the adherents are allowed to pick and choose what they want in the religion like a giant spiritual buffet. This view is as far from the teachings of the New Testament as east is from west. Keller’s invitation would satisfy the questions of millions. Will Mr. Obama accept the challenge?

Obama has already answered these questions in a 2004 interview with the Chicago Sun-Times

"I am a Christian," the 42-year-old Illinois state senator and Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate says...."So, I have a deep faith," Obama continues. "I'm rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.

It's perhaps an unlikely theological position for someone who places his faith squarely at the feet of Jesus to take, saying essentially that all people of faith -- Christians, Jews, Muslims, animists, everyone -- know the same God.

That depends, Obama says, on how a particular verse from the Gospel of John, where Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me," is heard.

Obama says he reads the Bible, though not as regularly as he'd like, now that he's on the campaign trail. But he does find time to pray.

"It's not formal, me getting on my knees," he says. "I think I have an ongoing conversation with God.... I'm constantly asking myself questions about what I'm doing, why I am doing it.

Alongside my own deep personal faith, I am a follower, as well, of our civic religion," he says. "I am a big believer in the separation of church and state. I am a big believer in our constitutional structure. I mean, I'm a law professor at the University of Chicago teaching constitutional law.

"I am a great admirer of our founding charter and its resolve to prevent theocracies from forming and its resolve to prevent disruptive strains of fundamentalism from taking root in this country.

Former constututional law professor Obama believe the constitution gives the government the power to prevent what he defines as disruptive strains of fundamentalism from taking root in thie country.

That should scare the hell out of everyone
